“one of the tougher climbs around!”

This is not an easy hike, the trail down to the creek is steep and covered in loose rocks. Once at the creek there are obstacles to navigate around and over; logs, boulder, deep water. Just before the falls you will need to climb up a narrow ledge a few feet above a deep pool of water. Directions can be tricky...From the 210 East Freeway. Exit Base Line Rd. Make a Left at the light and the next Right at Padua Ave. Follow the road for 1.8 miles and make a Right onto Mt. Baldy Rd. Drive 6.1 miles and turn Right onto Barrett Stoddard Truck Trail, if you hit Mt. Baldy Village you have gone to far. Park in the dirt parking area just before the building. Adventure Pass is needed to park.

The 8401 Mt Baldy address on here is not correct. Follow the directions on the website. It's at Mt Baldy Rd and Mountain Ave. As soon as you make a right on Mountain Ave off of Mt Baldy Rd. The parking is on the right. You can't miss it.

Oh, I went Aug. 21, 2015 and there was more water then what this picture shows. The fall had more water and the pool at the bottom was deeper. I would guess about more than 5ft.

I followed the directions on the website and I found it easy.
When you and park and walk over the rock barrier, you're not going to walk very far. Once you start hearing the water you're pretty close.
Look out for 2 ft high rock wall about 4 ft wide to the left of the paved road. If you look down from that wall you'll see a body of water. That is where the waterfall is but you can't see the fall from there, just the pool where the fall lands. Keep walking the paved road and find a spot to the left where you think you can handle the steep climb down.
Once at the bottom, go up stream till you get to the waterfall. It's not far. It's just a rough climb to the fall.
