If only the showers worked this campground rating would be 5 stars. Immaculate restrooms and shower facilities, gorgeous views, spacious sites, paved walking trails, coyotes serenading, and a herd of deer- lovely.
Cost was $23 with senior discount, easily reserved online and onsite.
Woke up to brilliant sunrise and white caps on the lake, the wind was howling.

Park was well kept and beautiful. We enjoyed our evening walks with our dogs. We did experience a lot of electrical issues. The camp hosts were super nice and helpful and did all they could to fix it. We experienced low voltage issues which had our AC cutting off and on. I believe they will be upgrading their electric boxes in the next month or so in which case I would update to five stars.

The sites were extremely clean. The park is well maintained and beautiful. Lots of access to water activities. We stayed in the Lower Mountain Shade area and were just steps from a beautiful concrete sidewalk trail, beach, and children’s play structure. We visited in late August so it was a bit hot to go on the hiking trails with young children, but the trees throughout the sites really made for enjoyable time outdoors even when it neared 100 degrees. Almost all of the campsites were booked, but it didn’t feel crowded! Camp hosts were very nice. Dump station and bathrooms/showers were also very clean. We will be back again and again!

Just spent one night on the road here. Uncrowded in the Lower Mountain loop where we were, more folks in loop above. Water looked appealing from a distance but not up close due to loads of goose poop. Lots of fishermen. Showers didn't look nice enough to have to feed quarters into but our campsite was level and spacious. Strong Verizon signal and 5 OATV channels.

Stayed in Upper Shade Mountain Loop. 50amp & sewer. Well placed utilities and level gravel pad. Great views of lake. Amazing quiet during the fall! Super relaxing. Picnic tables. Lantern poles and both fire pit and grill. Definitely would stay again. Super friendly staff.

Love this park! The sites are either gravel or concrete, but all are very level! Nice sidewalk path along the lakeshore for an evening stroll.
