Colorado's only Gator farm
My family loved this place! There are tortoises everywhere and they seem to be so happy to see people. So many reptiles, a hilarious parrot, and Emu's, which I wasn't expecting. Super worth the price of admission and great for littler kids, mine are five and three.
This is kind of a dive BUT the employees were super nice, we got to hold a baby gator, got some pictures and a bravery reward that the gator even "stamped" for us! Lol Tons of areas to see and like nothing we've seen before! We went to a place in FL once where they wanted to charge you like $4 to feed 1 little niece of meat. This place you got a bucket of feed for $2! The gators have all the food they could want- they're all housed with tilapia fish and smaller ones too! Such a cool place!
This place was actually a blast! They have all kinds of donated/rescued reptiles (boas, piranhas, emus, gators, lizards, tortoises, tarantulas, iguanas) that you can look at. They have an incredible number of gators of all ages and sizes. The staff was very educational. Safety was questionable as they said they have "about 1 escapee gator daily." He then stated that they "usually find them." You can totally see how this happens when you visit as most of the "enclosures" are made out of old wooden palates that have been wired together. Worth the stop, we had a great time.
