This RV Park provides full hookups for campers in the park. It is in a lodgepole pine forest near Colter Bay Village. While not on the shores of Jackson Lake, a short stroll leads to a spectacular view of Mount Moran and the northern Teton Range. Colter Bay Village has many facilities including a visitor center, restaurants, stores, cabins, a marina. Shower and laundry services are available for additional fee.

Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on June 21, 2022The roads were in great shape and the campground was very clean. Our pull thru site was level and it was very quiet during our stay.
We were planning on BOONDOCKING, however, when I called to find out the price (just in case) and was told they only had 2 sites left during our time period, I panicked that we wouldn't find a spot and made the reservation. Happy I did, got settled in with no worries. Will definitely return.

We have camped here two summers in a row with a large fifth wheel. Lots of trees, little reception, but that is only negative (and not necessarily a negative for true enjoyment of nature). Many, many things to do nearby, stores, restaurants, gas, propane and the list goes on. But the scenery is truly majestic! We actually experienced a grizzly walk right up to the front of our RV (we went inside for protection). Although the adrenaline was pumping, it was the memory of a lifetime to view it so close.
Called at least a year in advance both times to ensure a spot. It's always full.

This is an expensive park, but because it's located right in Grand Teton National Park I guess you need to expect that. The location is excellent! The sites are well spaced out, but not all are very level. There is a nice grocery store right at the campground with lots of reasonably priced items. The only problem was spotty cell coverage. When we stayed there 3 years ago our Verizon hot spot worked pretty well, although a little slow. This time, even though it showed 4 or 5 bars, it did not work at all except for in the middle of the night. We work remotely and need internet to work, so we ended up working in the middle of the night a lot that week. We also worked at the campground laundromat and down by the marina where the wifi worked well. The wifi worked well at Jackson Lake Lodge also so sometimes we worked there. Next time I think we'll just plan to take the week off work and not worry about finding internet to get some work done.

While cell service and Wi-Fi isn’t good, the sites are pretty, in the trees, level, quiet but close to a grocery, store, restaurant and bar, marina, and visitor center. And Colter Bay is on Jackson Lake. Lake and mountains (Moran and Tetons) are beautiful! We walked everywhere we wanted to go. No dog park, but we were warned several times that grizzlies were close and to keep our dogs leashed.

If you don't want to hassle with first come-first serve NP campgrounds inside Grand Teton NP, this is a good option. As mentioned, it has FHU but no fire rings, which is sort of a bummer. Part of national park camping is campfires :).
The staff is very helpful and was able to keep us in the same site the entire time with two separate reservations. The proximity to Colter Bay Village is great. The village has a grocery store, laundry facilities and a couple of eating options.
Great access to Jackson Lake. Book early as this place sells out fast.

We stayed a week here and were comfortable the whole time. The RV park is nicely located halfway between the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks. They are very strict about leaving food out because of the bears.
One night, our neighbors were way loud way late, but it was quiet other than that. You are just far enough from your neighbors.
We loved the hikes close by.
We could only receive and send texts thru cell service. The Wi-Fi was not near the campsites.
The laundry was clean and the staff were friendly.
There is a nice store on site with a coffee shop and gift shop. As well as outdoor activities to book like horseback riding or rafting.

Despite spotty/non-existent cell coverage and close neighbors, you camp in easy to pull-through full hookup sites in a nice forest setting. A few steps away is Jackson Lake and amazing Teton view. It is expensive but we will return as often as possible.

Nice spaces even if they are a little close together. All pull through. Good location if you want full hook ups. WiFi at store and visors center doesn’t extend to RV camping spaces. Cell service is spotty. 1 bar Verizon LTE would send or receive a text or email once in a while during the day as so many people were using it. Boosted with Wee boost- 2 bars but still not good. After hours and early in the morning, service was fast. AT&T no service. Good grocery story and gift shop and a good laundry (3.50 wash/2.50 Dey) and shower available for $5

First off - you are in Grand Teton NP! For “in your face” views, there aren’t many places like it.
This RV park is super hard to get a reservation as it books early and stays full. We lucked into a cancellation and jumped all over it. You do not pick a site. They have your reservation and then tell you what site you have at arrival.
Now you do have the option to line up at the crack of dawn and find out if anything comes available. There is also a FF campground next to this one that has no hook ups.
This is RV only with full hookups. All sites are pull thru. We did not see anyone with issues as for fitting into their spot. There are some tight areas driving, but totally manageable.
None of the sites are huge. Picnic table, but no fire pit. The campground is on a slope so most sites require leveling. At our site we were as high as we could get and still slightly low on one side. Also, I had to dig out around the water connection because it was so low to the ground. We had a potable water sign taped to the water valve. They had just gotten a water issue corrected. We had noticed potable water trucks were parked at the campground entrance. We also got a freeze warning and severe weather handout during our stay.
We were a short walk to Jackson Lake, boat dock/rental, amphitheater and Colter Village. Plenty of amenities close by.
As for cell service, none in the campground. But, you can get a signal in Colter Village.
Would I stay again? Of course! Pricey - yes. But, you are in the park with hookups (which we were glad to have because of weather). You are in a great spot for getting to the southern part of the park and for making Yellowstone a doable day trip.

This campground is hard to beat with full hookups, walking distance to the general store, ranger station and the lake and close to everything in the Tetons. We spent our time riding bikes around the area, visiting the store for coffee and ice cream, the ranger station for junior ranger activities and the lake to walk each day. We went to Jackson two nights as it's not too far and all the Teton sites are within an hour or so of this campground. Despite have the worst site in the campground it was such a wonderful three nights and we wish we could have stayed longer. Hard to get into but well worth the effort and expense.
