Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 22, 2019Self-contained camping is currently permitted on the pull-offs adjacent to Loyd's Lake. Big rig accessible, free, and views to write your momma about.
Decently quiet, although there is some OHV action, fishermen, and the occasional vehicle who may pull up close to your rig to get a view of the little lake below.
No obstacles for solar. Easy enough to get decently level in the pull through area we plopped down in. There is also another area a few hundred feet up (the paved) road that appeared to be ready to host a rig.
There is a trail circling the lake that runs for ~2 miles. There are some vault toilets along that trail.
Law enforcement/Dept of Natural Resources drives by about once a day to make sure all is well.
Verizon signal was solid, and connection was zippy.
Expect this spot will be posted 'no camping' as soon as folks abuse it (be classy! not trashy!), but for now, it's pretty sweet.

Great spot just off road over looking Loyd ‘s lake. Easy to find pretty level spots. During our stay we did not have any other campers and Road was quiet.

Stopped here on our way south to check out the new bike trails. In the first 30 minutes, our dog had brought back a used condom, got into a fight with a tarantula, found a fresh deer skull and collected cacti on his tummy and paws. The bike trails are really new and loose. Oh and there is broken glass everywhere. But hey, it was free and quiet. Very windy too.

And yes, it’s windy but otherwise quiet and clean. Nice 2.3 mile trail around the reservoir, beautiful mountain (snow capped) backdrop.

Read the reviews and knew there were some no camping signs going up so when I pulled in I looked for them and couldn’t find any. But an hour later got a knock on the door from the local PD telling me no camping is allowed and yes the signs are on order. Ugh.
