Navy Lodge Monterey is conveniently located to family resources such as: Personnel Support Detachment (PSD), Housing Office, Commissary, Navy Exchange, and MWR. Some of the Installation activities include: Gym, Golf / Tennis courts, and Monterey Beach. The Naval Postgraduate School and Defense Language Institute (DLI) is also located here. San Jose International Airport is located approximately 65 miles north of Navy Lodge Monterey. Allow 1.5 hours driving time. San Francisco International Airport is located approximately 100 miles north of Navy Lodge Monterrey. Allow 2.5 hours driving time. There is also direct air service links to Monterey Peninsula Airport (MRY). Area attractions include: Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, Fisherman's Wharf, Bubba Gump, Monterey Fish House, Old Fisherman's Grotto and the 17 Mile Drive.  Museums of interest include: Monterey Museum of Art, National Steinbeck Center in Salinas, and the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History.  Carmel Plaza, Northridge Mall and Del Monte Shopping center offer a wide variety of stores for your shopping pleasure.
