About 10 min from the park, probably less. It is right next to the road, so if you're a light sleeper you may have issues, but I was in a tent and slept just fine. Great views from the campsite, saw a bunch of base jumpers flying off the cliffs opposite the campsite! No cell service.

We arrived in Moab on a Sunday and found all the BLM campground off of 128 full. We jumped over to 279 and found this little campground that had a couple of sites available so we snagged one. Site 18 at the very end is great- has some shade and is the largest site. All sites are right on the road so you do have road noise but we weren’t bothered by it. Everyone”s here for the adventure and scurrying about in the day and resting in the evening. This campground is just a 1/2 mile or so from the rock climbing area and also some great petroglyphs. And the Colorado River is just across the road. We found this a convenient location for access to Arches, Canyonlands, Deadhorse, and some lesser known hikes just down the road. The vault toilets at this campground were ok but not the greatest but there is a nicer one just a very short walk up the road at the dinosaur tracks trailhead. Price reflects our senior discount.

Cute little basic campground right next to road (probably not traveled much at night). We drove through & camped elsewhere. Restrooms were decent, a few scattered trees over picnic tables. Good access to Moab & areas. Apparently we visited during a very busy time of the year & most campgrounds were full/cheapest motels $150.

We camped here on the night of 11 November 2020. The cost was zero. There were three other campers in our small campground, but it was very quiet. The setting is beautiful with cliffs on one side and the Colorado river on the other side. Our camping area had a fire pit and a picnic table. It was gravel and not very level, but adequate. We would Definitely stay here again.

This site said it was free. I was car camping and lucky enough to find space to park for the night. In the morning I realized it wasn’t dispersed free camping and cost $20.

Tucked at the base of red rocks and directly across from the Colorado River, this site is such a gem. Super clean sites (almost zero trash to be found anywhere) and pit toilets that are abnormally well-maintained (they look like they might be fairly new) sites are well spaced and include a picnic table and fire pit. Easy access off a paved road. (There is a little traffic noise since the road runs parallel to the campground.) We LOVE this site - well worth the $20/night - and would definitely come back on our next visit.

We could not access our planned campsite and stayed here instead. It was beautiful! We stayed in spot #1 with our 38 foot motorhome pulling a yukon xl. There were other sites we could have fit in with no problem. Staying next to the rock wall/cliff was cool and the kids had fun. The noise was not bad even though it's close to the road. Most sites have some shade.

We arrived around 4:00pm on Saturday night and found a site. We stayed at site 6, it’s directly across from the bathroom and has a large area for a tent or multiple vehicles it’s up against the road so you will hear some cars throughout the night and their lights will shine into your site. Very close to town, worth it

Perfect for a night in between off road trails. Traffic was quiet at night. Close to trails and the town. Fills up quick, most sites gone by 11am.
