Ratings Summary
Stayed at this campground for about a week with our 31' Airstream in tow. There are some switchbacks that you have to traverse in order to get to this campground and 31' is about as long of a trailer that you can get down these tight no-guardrail curves. Doable, but scary! Takes about 40 minutes or so to get to this campground from the closest town given the windy steep grade narrow roads (you often have to pull off to the side to let other vehicles pass coming out of the canyon).
Campground was well maintained and a ranger visited about once every other day or so to enforce fees. In-ground restroom (2 of them), and large back-in sites on level gravel with firepits and picknic tables. No water, sewer or electric or garbage collection. Generators are allowed from 8am to 8pm. During the week there was almost no one else there, but filled up on the weekend. Lots of dune buggy, dirt bike and off-road vehicle traffic as people went into the canyons passing the campground.
The best part of this campground is the view of the surrounding red rock. Epic, breathtaking and monumental. Just wow.
No cell service without a cell booster, although with one equipped external directional antenna and we were able to get about about 3 bars of AT&T and Verizon LTE when positioned correctly.

We stayed for two nights in a tent, and it was a great experience. There was no cell service, which was refreshing. The campsite and bathroom were very well maintained, and the spot we placed our tent was very flat and made for a comfortable nights sleep. The best part was the surrounding landscape and views for the sunrise and sunset. Would definitely camp here again.

First of all I would like to say that we got in and out ok, but we would never come here again, unless we have something smaller. We are pulling a 31' Airstream, and ignored the sign that said "trailers not recommended". the narrow roads are not bad but the double hairpin turn made our hearts race. I posted a picture of it. Our friends went before us on the way out to halt any traffic so we could navigate the turns unobstructed.
The campground was great though. Clean vault toilet and lots of space between sites. Not crowded. No cell service.
