Since Campendium is in the process of imploding on this day, 5/23/24, I'll post my reviews here. I hope the transition to RT works out, but my hopes are not high. Nothing against RoadTrippers - I shutter at the thought of it disappearing overnight like Campendium basically did (fortunately, I knew this was coming so I moved all my faves over to Google Maps, it took FOREVER) - but the apps are not the same.
Review
Rig: 35’ toy hauler/trailer, Ram 2500 turbo diesel.
Last Paid: $15
Juniper is about 9 miles down a sometimes smooth, sometimes washboard, sometimes rocky and hilly Sand Flat Road. It's a good 1,500 feet up, so it's cooler and has more trees and vegetation than the sites at the beginning of the road. It also has amazing views of the mountains and valley. The sites are well-spaced with a table and firepit, the host was great (spotted me backing in), and it was very quiet.
All of that said, it was a long trek for a 35' toy hauler, and a 20 minute ride back into town for supplies or other sight-seeing. I will for sure come back to Sand Flat because I'm an off-roader, but if I can find a good site at Echo, I'll take that. If you're in a van or smaller camper and want more peace and quiet than the OHV-oriented sites further down the road, definitely check out Juniper.
Lastly, I was able to get great up and down speeds with AT&T, but it would frequently disconnect from the tower, so I used Starlink the whole time.
