Wonderful - stayed there two different times last summer. Half price with national pass, so it makes it very affordable. Check my blog for further info and a photo of my campsite. http://landcruisingadventure.blogspot.mx/2015/09/return-to-moab.html

Gorgeous place. Not far from town. Directly on the river. Toilet is clean. Sites are huge. Only complaint, and only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, adjacent road is a little busier and louder than my liking. Other than that, awesome spot.

Att Mobley had 1 solid bar lte. No tmobile.

Last year we tried to stay at this BLM site with no luck. We showed up early last year but had to go up the river to a different camping site. That being said we tried again this year and made claim on this site and we’re glad we were lucky enough to stay here. It was $15 dollars a night and we were right on the river. It has a fire pit, a nice picnic table, and the site was nice and level. We stayed in a pop up trailer and woke up every morning to the huge rock face and river right next to us. The site is really clean. We did notice a lot of nats (bugs that flew around) but really never bugged you or landed on you. We suggest you get there early and look for someone leaving. Checkout is 11 like most BLM camping sites.
The BLM camp site is close to the town of MOAB and close to all the main roads.

We loved our spot and all the things other people have mentioned. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Some funny things about this area...helicopter tours fly right in front of campsite dos canyon...only twice in 4 days. Nightly there is a boat tour that goes up and down the river that is accompanied by a 40,000 watt light truck that shines lights on the canyon walls...lights up entire campground at about 930pm for 3 or 4 minutes! We thought it was hilarious...others may not. Bike path was Beautiful! Spring water available at end of road (comes out of rock so bring bottles to fill!) We will be back for sure! We were in a trailer but surrounded by mostly tenters. If you're in a tent make sure you secure your tent when leaving...saw many a collapsed tent and other items blowing by due to afternoon windy gusts.

We were here in the second week of September. Temperatures were still in the high 90s during the day but did cool off at night (10:00 or later).
This campground is very convenient to Arches, Moab and reasonably to Canyonlands. All good.
This campground is VERY busy. Best advice, if you want a site, get there around 9:00 in the Morning!
There is NO water at this campground. There are only pit toilets. Pretty bad most of the time we were there but they finally pumped them out on our last day.
There IS cell service. Verizon and ATT.
Camp host is great. Site 1 is excellent for RV or trailer. Except - every time someone pulls into the campground at nite, their headlights shine right in the windows. This happend at 10:30, 11:00 and even 4:00 am one day.
Important- as soon as you see the campground sign - Slow Down. The entrance is just a bit past the sign on the left. Looks like you’re driving right on the bicycle path, actually you do cross right over it.

This campground is busy. You need to arrive early to see if someone is leaving and wait until they do or arrange to just leave you car or chair until they do. Once you get in it’s a good location for exploring the area. There are other campsites in the area but I needed the cell coverage.
Cell coverage:
ATT was 42 Mbps down and 3 Mbps up (with booster) otherwise 4 Mbps down and 0.5 Mbps up
Verizon was 19 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up (booster didn’t help)

There are several positive attributes to this campground. It is conveniently located just outside of Moab. Easy access to the National Parks. Beautiful red rock cliffs line the campground along the Colorado River. Very friendly camp host. Verizon and AT&T worked well especially with a booster.
Why we’ll probably will NOT return to this campground.
You have to be extremely lucky even to get a site. RV and campers start driving the loop at 7:30 in the morning to try and score a site. We witnessed potential campers sitting in front of someone’s campsite at 7:30 in the morning waiting to see movement then jumped on the campers asking if they were leaving. Oh, check out is 11:00.
Each site is limited to 10 people and two vehicles. If 10 in a campsite wasn’t bad enough, I’m looking into a site with a monster trailer and 4 trucks/cars parked into the site.
Then there are the two small group areas at the end of the campground. Each was full every night but come the weekend - wow! In the small group area, and I mean small, campers crammed 15-20 vehicles (cars, RV’s and trailers) into this very small area. I can’t even hazard a guess to how many people were in the group. And I really appreciated the frisbee bouncing off the side of our Airstream (hopefully I can polish it out).
Road noise and traffic. Campers and potential campers seem to fly through this campground. Nothing like a little gravel dust. HWY 128 sits along the edge of this campground. This is an extremely busy Hwy throughout the day.
This years the rates went up to $20 a night. No water, no dump or services just pit toilets.
So there you have it, a beautifully located campground that seems a bit out of control.
If you want to stay here, I have a few suggestions.
Try visiting the day before you need a site. The camp host seems willing to work around campers leaving the following day. You might be able to score a site for the following day.
The yellow tags on the post have the date of departure. However, many campers extend one day at a time.
