“Open Air Museum”
Moab Giants Dinosaur Park is the first of its kind world-wide! Not only is it set amongst some of the world’s most breathtaking scenery in Moab, UT, but it is a unique experience of the ages. You will journey back through time with our 3D cinema introducing you into the prehistoric world. Then you get to make your own tracks alongside our state-of the art life-size dinosaurs! You get to roam the extraordinary landscape they called home, as evidenced by the huge concentration of fossilized tracks found all around the area! The Tracks Museum is full of entertainment with interactive learning touch screens, games to play, and visually stunning exhibits that not only fascinate, but educate. It’s the ultimate place to discover the past with the modern conveniences and cutting edge technology that feel like the future!
We spent about 4.5 hours here, did the little hike around life size dinosaurs (extremely detailed plastic dinosaurs), found a shaded sand box the kids played in for quite a while. The indoor exhibits were very nice and interactive. The paleo aquarium was phenomenal. It was about a 20 minute exhibit with a shark attack scene they warn you about so if the kids get scared you can exit ( we stayed and it was pretty cool). Would highly recommend. And the cafe had really good food, priced the same as a restaurant, but a nice break in walking for the kids.
Only stopped to eat but it was super cute! Great options! Good portions. SO kid friendly. I wish we had been able to stay and explore the museum.
The dinosaurs were so detailed and realistic! It really felt like we had gone back in time. The trail itself is easy to walk and strollers will go on it just fine. We got there early and was able to snag one of the dinosaur carts but there are only 3 so I would not rely on that. The virtual aquarium was amazing. I have never seen anything like it before. Make sure you get there early when they open. There are two places to stop and let the kids dig for dinosaurs on the trail. They do have some shade which is nice. The dinosaur cafe has some really good food options and reasonably priced. We would definitely go again.
Great for the kids. Kids had a wonderful time here. Took about 2-1/2 hours to do everything. Great virtual Paleo Aquarium.
Very upset I spent money at this establishment. Rude staff, overpriced. Got there a little after 4 and was told we didn't have time to do everything there so we were only allowed to purchase the outdoor pass which we found out is a short little hiking trail that takes about 10-15 minutes and a little kids playground set. Felt like the staff had decided that closing at 6 means they are in their cars leaving the parking lot at 6
This was great for the kids. It is hot but you can bring in a backpack with your own waters.
Hours are 10-6. We got there at 5:55, (not knowing the hours) so totally missed it! Looked like it would have been fantastic! Very disappointed! Oh well, next time we'll plan a trip to include it BEFORE it closes, lol!
