“Series of falls north of Marenisco”
Yondota Falls, located just 3 1/2 miles north of Marenisco Mi., on the Bessemer Ranger District, is a series of falls, so be sure you walk far enough to see them all. The trail is not long, but does drop in elevation along the river, so the uphill return hike may make this a moderately difficult trail. Directions: From Marenisco, Mi., travel east on US 2 approximately .2 miles to CR 523, turn left onto CR 523 and travel approximately 3 ¼ miles to Yondota Falls. The trailhead is on the north side of the Presque Isle River Bridge. From Bessemer, Mi., travel east on US 2 approximately 19 miles to CR 523, turn left onto CR 523 and travel approximately 3 ¼ miles to Yondota Falls. The trailhead is on the north side of the Presque Isle River Bridge. From Watersmeet, Mi., travel approximately 23 miles west on US 2 to CR 523, turn right onto CR 523 and travel approximately 3 ¼ miles to Yondota Falls. The trailhead is on the north side of the Presque Isle River Bridge.
