Connecting the site of an old forest fire lookout to the Illinois River Trail, this old trail once provided access to the rich gold producing areas along Silver Creek. In addition, an as a non-wilderness trail, it offers an exceptional trail ride for experienced motorcyclists seeking a near wilderness experience. Since this is a very isolated and rugged trail, be sure to carry plenty of water and always be prepared for an emergency stay in the forest by carrying extra clothes and food.
