Windmill RV Park

Big spots in and out easy. Full hookups. Basic place. Pretty quiet.

Quick overnight stop. Long pull-thru sites. No problem with our 41 ft 5th wheel and truck. Just off highway so there is some road noise but no big deal to us. A train rolled thru about 10 pm. Didn’t bother us. Gravel sites. Good WiFi, was able to stream. Nice staff. Easy in and out. Would definitely stay again

We stayed here for a quick overnight so the location was convenient and the price ok but we expected more. We picked up a bag of trash before setting up and the grounds needed mowing. Mostly full time residents which is fine if there were expectations of keeping sites clean and maintained. 50amp plug was burnt, 30 worked fine. Waste receiver did not have proper cap (wood stacked on top).

This park is not well maintained. There were several very trashing sites (e.g., tarps thrown over old trailers.) For advanced reservations you need to pay everything in advance, and they will not refund your payment if you have a late change of plans (or you realize this is not a place you feel safe in). They will allow you to stay at another time, but I'm not sure why anyone would every want to return. The price is $76 because that is what they charged us for 2 days and we only stayed for one. I saw a new park on the south side of the i-20 in Abilene. Not sure of the name but you might want to find another place.

Site was decent. 35/night full hookup. It is just a large field with gravel roads. Online kiosk worked well. At site self serve didn't work. Clean laundry room and bathroom/shower. Gas station nearby has basic groceries. Have wifi, but didn't test it. All sites are full sun, no shade, or bushes/shrubs. Very long RV pads.
