Kudzu’s brought this Irish tradition to Memphis over 20 years ago where teams battle it out for cash, but more importantly, bragging rights. However, brains aren’t everything. If you are just creative, you can win the prize for best team name. Laughs are guaranteed. Even though this bar and grill is known for serving up delicious burgers since 1990, the menu offers vegetarian options and tamales that will knock your socks off! As Indiana natives, owners Jerry and Kelly King added the infamous Hoosier – a pork tenderloin sandwich the size of your plate. Daily lunch specials offer a good meal at a great price for downtown workers or tourists passing through. There are three distinct areas for whatever fits your mood – cozy friendly pub, covered outdoor deck, or secluded basement with a jukebox and pool table. Even though a full bar is offered, local draft beer is the biggest hit. Three varieties are brewed literally across the street. It can’t get more local than that! Just blocks from Beale Street and FedEx Forum, in the heart of the Edge district, Kudzu’s is the perfect place to meet before a game or unwind after a night on the town. But, it is not unusual to come in for a drink and end up staying all night.
