The Center for Southern Folklore is a non-profit organization that showcases and celebrates the culture - the foods, the music, the arts, the traditions, the stories - of the South. In the early 1970s we began talking with, learning from - documenting in film and sound - men and women whose knowledge and experiences were fast disappearing from the Memphis and Delta region. With our first documentary films, programs and festivals we began to share and show these voices with many audiences. We've been growing ever since.
