Lighthouse RV Resort

While this park isn't much of a looker, it's the best/closest option to McKinney and North Dallas attractions and retail. All spots are pull through with full hookups. This park services passers through, weekly, monthly and even long term residents. At inquiry they checked our background (yes, even for a 1 week stay) and asked for photos of our trailer (yes, even for a 2018 model). There is propane fill onsite, laundry, swimming pool and playground. WiFi is also free but we've only been successful streaming video 1 time. I have been able to use it daily for work purposes. The traffic in the park is rather light but you will hear highway noise. Volume of that noise will depend on which spot you're in. There's plenty of shade from pine trees and the spots all seem to be of good size. The park allows parking for 2 vehicles and they don't count the RV as a "vehicle". Overall, very friendly to full timers who are looking for a long term stay.

This was our first adventure in the Rv’ing world and it was quite the disappointment. The vast majority of the park are full timers. Some have 20 year old RV’s with permanent porches or decks and growing vegetable gardens. The most disappointing thing, by far, was the smell. From the time we pulled in until we left there was a constant sewer smell that was so pungent it made it impossible to sit outside. The noise off of 75 wasn’t as bad as we anticipated.

As far as amenities, the pool and game room were closed for Covid and the mini golf course is very roughly finish concrete that is painted green and unplayable.

Sadly we won’t be back as this “resort” isn’t satisfactory for even a one night, passer by stay.
