“A great base camp for exploring the badlands”
Make our cottage your headquarters while you explore our beautiful Badlands, so loved by our 26th president, Theodore Roosevelt! Historic Medora is located in the rugged Badlands of Western North Dakota. Just south of Medora is the Custer Trail, which Lt. Colonel George Armstrong Custer followed to his fateful meeting with Sitting Bull at the Battle of the Little Big Horn. At their campsite southeast of Medora, some of Custer's men carved their initials in a rock where they are still visible today. Custers Cottage is a small house with two separate rental units. Each unit has its own private entrance and is only used by one group or party at a time. Each unit includes air conditioning (central air), living room, full kitchen, private bathroom and cable television. Basic cooking utensils are supplied, along with all bed linens and towels. Price is based on the number of bedrooms used.
