Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on February 18, 2023We stayed in Site 2. Partially because it was closest to the water & probably mostly booked up. It was 102 this weekend so it was pretty harsh. I’d recommend Sites 10, 11 & 15, these have shade and are close to the river. Be warned the Restroom & Showers are up by Sites 30+. On the map it looks like it just up the hill. No big deal unless you are staying in a pop up with no bathroom. There is 1 male & 1 female bathroom/shower combo. It was air conditioned and seemed to be plenty for the park. It was a nice park & view. The town was quaint, food on the square was good & museums were interesting. The Llano isn’t a cool spring fed river, so in the face of 102 it was wet. But the locals come enjoy the river daily & so it was nice enjoying this little slice of life of the TX Hill Country. They do rent kayaks. They do have WiFi but no cell service.

The managers, Bob and Marsha were unbelievably nice and accommodating! The park is in a gorgeous setting, super clean, maintained well, and the nearby town of Mason is really charming. They also have really cool cabins and Airstreams for rent. We'll be back.

Small and quiet park over looking the Llano River. Site was a little unlevel once we set up. No issues with a few blocks. The view and serenity will bring us back.

We enjoyed a lovely stay here in our new RV. Only cons were that the upper river view sites were relatively close to each other and did not have grills for each site. (WiFi was weak at upper river sites but it kept me off my phone so maybe a pro?) The pros were endless: full hookups, beautiful Llano river access (short cut by the bathhouse), tube and kayak rentals on site, SUPER dog friendly, and Tammy the manager seemed to really care about our stay, even made arrangements for an extra shuttle when our tubing trip got derailed by a headwind that made us super late. Will be my new favorite getaway! Took us 2 hours from Austin and got to stop at Opie’s barbecue on the way home! Fantastic weekend.

Spectacular view ground need some help.
The good. Nice view of the river and surrounding landscape. Easy access to the river if you want to swim fish or even kayak. Sites were good lower level one through five is the preferred place to be.
The bad. Getting to the campsite was a very narrow rough pot hold hilly dissent. The other negative was the shower and bath area for public use was in need of some serious updating and cleaning. We were there 3 days and no one cleaned or emptied the trash. Also Wi-Fi was spotty. And cell coverage was even worse.
Summary. Overall a very nice place to just kick back and relax. Nearby town of Mason offers a few necessities but it is a town that also needs a facelift and a fresh influx of some businesses.

Wow! The location of this park to the river is incredible. The swimming area of the river is also not very busy compared to other Texas rivers. The bathrooms could use a little help (they may have been inconsiderate guests), but other than that it was an amazing stay and Tammy was extra helpful and available when we needed her. Mason was also a cute town to walk around and grab a bite to eat. We will for sure be back!

Full hookups, clean park. Variety of tents, cabins, & RVs. Very dog friendly, WI-FI throughout the park was pretty good, but I had zero cell signal. No BBQ grills in the front spaces, but the view and access was awesome.

Great reviews highlighted on their website; a disorganized mess in actuality. When we arrived mid-afternoon, the office was closed and no one available to check us in. Luckily, I had reserved a specific site so we just pulled in and set up. We never saw anyone from the management. It didn’t appear that the office ever opened. RV site #19 is one of two pull-throughs and is billed as a 75’ site; It is nowhere close. A 60’ measurement would be more than generous. The site is sloped downhill and you need to keep your RV at the back of the pad to be level side-to-side. We had to raise the tongue higher than I’ve ever raised it to level front-to-back. A turn from the site toward the exit would be tight with a tree in the middle of the road, but a turn into the park and around the back of the site to the exit was manageable; Even though, the people renting the cabin next door parked their truck with kayaks hanging out into the roadway.
Signs point to the dumpster location, but we never found a dumpster. We never used the bathhouse as it was a bit of a hike. With full hookups, we used the RV. The area around the office is rather junky. Some of the permanent RVs are old and decrepit. Seemingly feral cats roam the park. As a plus, the WiFi was more than acceptable.
For a cheap overnight stop while traveling, it was adequate, but we won’t return for a vacation or even a weekend and we will probably will find another overnight stop while traveling.

We’ve been coming here once or twice a year for several years. This year we had an “oops” and that’s my reason for the review.
We arrived Friday evening and there was someone in our spot. Or so I thought. As it turned out, I had not made a reservation for this year. I was looking at the email from last year. The management showed up before I called and got us situated in a great spot up at the top for the first night and then down nearer the river for the next two nights.
We prefer spots 1-5. They overlook the river and have easy access. One of the things we like best about the place is the low key community. This is the third year we’ve taken our grandsons along. Every year they make new friends among the families there for the weekend. They hike, fish and throw rocks in the river.
We were there during “Winterfisch”. My 5 year old grandson caught a Guadalupe bass. I caught one Guad and 10 rainbows.
