This was so interesting! The place where Laura wrote the Little House books. Lots of memorabilia in the museum, short 8 minute video of her life and two of the homes she lived in, one of which she and Almanzo built themselves and the other one (the rock house) that Rose had built for them. Beautiful area! The only negative was the price. $14 ea for adults was just a bit steep, in my opinion. But I'm glad I went.
We loved it here! We could do everything there was to do in about 2 hours. We toured both houses & shopped at the gift shop. It was a little pricey, but something my kids will never forget!
interesting place if you read the books. This is where she wrote the books, not the location of the books. Pa's fiddle is here which is very cool.
Must go when you are close/live close and a fan of the books and show. We didn’t regret it. Military discount also available. Unfortunately though, no pictures inside allowed. However the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Very good.
It you ever read the books, definitely a place to go! My tween daughter loved it. Lots of information and you get a tour of Laura's house where she lives the last part of her life.
Great tour!
