Beautiful campground right on Lake Michigan and walking distance to town. All amenities and new. Its brand new (2yrs old) well planned nice campground and well kept. One the best I have seen in 40+ years of camping in an rv

The town of Manistique built this new campground two years ago. They have done a great job. Excellent bathrooms with laundry facility. All well maintained. It appears they are catering to the big rigs. We were lucky we could fit into a small primitive tent site.
Great view of the lighthouse. Campground is tucked back behind a large sand dune that helps with the noise from US 2.
After staying in the National Forest for 2 nights we needed a spot to take showers and it was time to do laundry so this fit the bill.
We spent time doing the boardwalk and went into town. Talked with the artist of a second gorgeous mural being finished. Great stop!

Excellent campground, a little pricey at $60 if you want a shoreline site. Smaller interior sites as low as $45 with interior large sites at $50. Busy, so call or reserve online beforehand.

The town of Manistique has done a terrific job developing this park. The sites have concrete, level pads and gravel verges. Well kept. It is right on Lake Michigan and most of the sites on the lake side of the loop have lake views. The bathrooms and showers are the best and cleanest we have experienced. The showers have heated floors! Much appreciated on 30 something degree mornings in October. Nice playground for the kids.

10/19/19 thru 10/21/19 - 2 Nights - $120.00 (includes taxes) - 42' 5th Wheel
Manistique Lakeshore Campground - 320 Traders Point Dr, Manistique, MI 49854 - (906) 286-1696 - Space 47 - 80' Long
City Park - Excellent Amenities - Right on Lake Michigan. Asphalt roads. Concrete parking. At least 50' between spaces with plants and trees in between. Very windy in fall. Beach erosion evident at this time. Expensive campground but very nice park. Pedistal E/W/C. 50A electric. A few feet over is sewer. FHU's. Provided Cable has 120 channels. Close to BP Truck Stop, Verizon store, Burger King, other restaurants near by. Very quiet campground. Dump Stations (2) are very clean and orderly.
$60 a day to be on beach. $45 off beach but some locations might not be long enough. In summer, reservations a must.
Verizon - 2-3 bars. Outside of town, hit and miss.

We will definitely stay here again. More than likely, reservations WILL be required during the summer months.
One word of caution...The sites on the side opposite of the lake do have flooding issues. If weather is imminent, you will want a lake front (more expensive) or interior lot versus the back lots.

Very modern campground and very well taken care of. Not the most private campground but private enough. Very busy schedule in advanced sites are always full!

We have stayed here a number of times. The campground is quite new, well maintained and set up for big rigs.
All the sites are larger than many modern campgrounds. Especially the lakefront sites are very private and are truly right on the lake. There is a wall of rocks in front of the campsites, so access to the lake is much easier through one of the two access paths. Since we were staying in a motorhome we pulled in forward and had a great view out of most windows of the RV. Only issue is that the hook-ups are on the wrong side then (would have been nice if the park had hook-ups on both sides) but I have enough length on my hook-us to make this work.
The sites on the North side of the campground can get some road noise and the 3 pull-through sites are not very private.
Manistique has a nice walking path and kayaks can be launched at the marina. Other destinations are a bit of a drive. We visited Fayette State Park (45min drive), mountain biked Bruno's Run (45 min drive) and kayaked Pictured Rocks (1 hour drive).

This park lives up to its billing. Lakeshore sites are just yards from the lake. We had an interior site but could still hear the wave action on a stormy day. Set up for big rigs. Concrete pads, gravel apron, grass and brush between sites made it feel roomy. Modern hookups, no issues at all. If we go back we'll pay the extra $15 for one of the lakeshore sites. They appear to be all sold out during summer months so reservations are a must.

Sites are paved and level, all full hookups with cable and WiFi. Nice natural grounds with a decent amount of space between sites. Beach front and easy to access water. Clean and well kept. Mostly back in sites, only 4 pull thrus. $5 dump fee. $30 tent sites, $50-65 trailer sites depending on location to the water.

Went here on the advice of campers we meet on the road. Our site had one pad in between the lake/beach but it still had nice views. Arrived to the lake looking like glass and left to 3 foot waves. The facilities appear very clean and up to date, with laundry. This was a great place experience Lake Michigan, the greater Manistique area is beautiful. Stayed in the Upper Peninsula Fri - Sun in late August with no reservations and got great lakefront or view sites each night, truly lucky. We will be coming back to the UP again and may just go right back to the same spots.
