Gerometta's Resort

This place is a hidden gem of a campground. It may not look like the fanciest of places, however, the customer service is the best you'll find in the U.P. My husband and I stayed here during our trip through the U.P. and Brad (the owner) is awesome. The area had experienced heavy rainfall before we got there and sadly, we ended up getting stuck in the mud in the back lot of their campground pretty much upon arrival, which needless to say, had us frazzled since this was our first time being stuck with our 30' camper. However, Brad assured us that it was no biggie and they'd have us out in no time (they have a tractor on-site used specifically for this), which they did with no harm to our truck or trailer in the process. Once free, we then decided to take one of their paved lots towards the front of the park which ended up working out great for us. We rented a boat from them while we stayed and that was awesome as well! We ended up running out of gas on the lake and Brad was more than happy to come rescue us with a fresh tank. All in all, we'd totally return to this campground. It's quiet, the owners are awesome, and the views are fantastic. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Thanks again Brad!

This is a good spot and Brad is awesome. The lake is pretty but there is no swimming beach which was disappointing. They do have a small pool which saved the day for our 7 yr old. There is ice but no firewood. Buy it at the store at the corner. There are no picnic tables at sites either. By far not the worse place we have stayed but wouldn’t rush back.

Oh my! We pulled in to the campground, and was shown the sites to pick from. We chose a grassy spot with a nice view of the lake. #21

Sally was just as pleasant and more, in person, as she was on the phone! She and her daughter were always there to help! My family enjoyed the pool, and I enjoyed looking at the lake and resting.

They have a few washers and a dryer. I did laundry and hung clothes on the clothesline. Such a beautiful campground and great hosts! As we said goodbye, it was if we were leaving old friends. 😔 We will definitely be back.

We had an excellent stay at Gerometta’s Resort. Sally and her daughter Jen were wonderful hosts and made us feel like old friends.

We rented a boat and some fishing gear from then for a reasonable price. It made for a relaxing day on the water. From camp, Kitch-iti-kipi is a short bike ride away. Ride your bike to waive the park entrance fee. Pictures rocks is an hour away. Mackinac Island via the St. Ignac ferry is almost 2. We explored these locations over a long weekend.

All sites are FHU. We enjoyed the tranquility of the field, but be warned: the mosquitos are vicious in the field. Wifi was spotty, Verizon was non-existent, but I was able to use ATT hotspot for work. The bathhouses were clean and spacious. On site laundry available.
