Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on September 11, 2023Top notch park along the Mancos River. Great facilities, nearly new! We liked the owners/managers a lot. They are very accommodating. This park is also super convenient to Downtown Mancos and the highway to Durango or Cortez.
We've full-timed for several years, and Riverwood is an exception among RV parks.
We'll stay here anytime we come to the area and we have stayed at several til now.

Owner and host were very helpful. We called late in the day for a spot and they were able to accommodate us. The bathrooms are brand new. The spots are close together and they are still in the process of landscaping. A few spots are close to the river. I left a star off because they do not have a playground or picnic tables. Great for a short visit. Not too bad of a drive to either town.

Stayed for 3 nights in Spot 23 "Premium" site, along the back fence witch backs up to a small creek. The pad was fairly level / compact gravel. Laundry room was nice an clean. There is also a "Clubhouse" but it was closed due to Covid-19. What I could see looked really nice. Park was about 2/3rds full most of the time. WiFi was excellent, one could easily stream Netflix/Hulu, etc. Check in was quick and painless.
RV Park was quite the entire time we were there. Great location for exploring Mesa Verde National Park. The city of Mancos itself is pretty small with a small grocery store, some unique shops / art shops, and restaurants. If you need major stores, they can be found about 20 minutes west in Cortez.
Only negative I can think of was the sewer connections are noticeably higher than the pad, making it hard to get the sewer hoses to run without having to travel uphill right before the connection.

We had to stop for one night somewhere in this general area. A guy we met in Cortez told us about this new RV park so we called, got a reservation, and took advantage of the exceptionally long pull through and didn't even unhitch. We were on our way extra early, but enjoyed this clean, new RV park for our one night stop.

We don’t typically stay at RV parks but decided to stop here to recharge our batteries and dump. The park is newer and the owners were very helpful and . The main building has bathrooms with private showers that are VERY new and clean. Most of the sites had newer class A’s or nice trailers. While the sites are close together their was a bit of space and grass between our sites. They have WiFi and the cell signal was good (Verizon) There is a park you can walk to and the town is just beyond the park. There is a bit of road noise but when in our Class B we couldn’t hear it. On Friday and Saturday nights they have a food truck (food was great). We would stay here again.

Picked campground because it backed up to Mancos River - unfortunately the entire site is surrounded by a barbed wire fence and you cant even get to the river. To me an oversite not allowing guests to get to river - would be easy to develop a nice pathway. Booked site online like I always do checking out via google maps always looking for a decent place to walk the cat. Picked a site that was adjacent to green space and backed up to river. When checking in the a lady was sitting out side and walked up to the car to get our name - she had difficulty finding our reserved site number and guessed at it, I said no its 22 like it says on my receipt - there was someone already set up there so had to pick another site. Love the location and town - did not use facilities but looked very new (looks to me they owners overspent on the building). We would come back for a night stay due to location and now we know exactly what we are getting.

The RV park opened in 2019. The roads are all paved, the sites are gravel /stone. All sites are full sun. Everything is new and clean, bathrooms/showers new, clean, very nice. Looks like all sites have full hookups, everything new, electric box, water spigot... wireless worked at my site. A short walk into the Main Street in Mancos, a small town that is developing an artistic flair. Two coffee / bakery shops very close. Mesa Verde is 6 miles West, Durango 25 miles east. Most sites do not have picnic tables, but they need picnic tables. Very nice for $40.....

This is a nice clean park with friendly people, level gravel sites, paved roads, etc. But the best thing about it for us were the showers! This is one of those rare parks with large private bathrooms complete with showers! We stayed here because we needed showers after a week of off grid camping. The comfort and privacy of our long hot showers were well worth the cost!!!!! Would stay here again just for that!

Definitely big rig friendly. Site 59 just fit my 40’ MH. Had shade trees on west side (one of the few sites with trees). Still had satellite. We toured Durango, Telluride and canyon of ancients from here. Helpful staff. Well maintained sites.

We were right on the creek, spots were beautiful and well maintained. Bathhouse was super nice and immaculately clean. The kids loved it. Great spot, try to get one on the creek if you can.
