Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 17, 2021This is a convenient campground close to 375. The sites near the entrance are first come first serve, the rest are Reserve America. The campground opened April 24.
We paid $12.50/night with our golden access. Sites vary in size and covered picnic tables are nice. There is a stream all along the campground. Sites in the rear are closer to the road and have some road noise. BR’s are clean.
We are near 7000 elevation and across from Tom’s place and the road to Rock Creek. The road is now open to Rock Creek Lake and skiing which we plan on doing in a few days. This would be a convenient CG for fisherman but not in the small stream nearby. Much nicer and cooler than near Bishop. There are campgrounds on the other side of the highway, one French Camp which opened yesterday also. The price a few dollars more but a lot of small sites and trees.
The negative aspect here is the ground, fine dirt that tracts everywhere. We put out our outdoor rug.

Didn’t like next door camp site have 10 plus people there and being up and loud until 3am. This site is very close to the host site and nothing was done. When talking to the host the next morning they denied knowing about the over the limit at the site and the loud all night music. They also were not receptive to making contact and didn’t make contact with those in the site who created the disturbance. Others throughout the campground heard what the Hosts didn’t

Stayed here for several nights in a first-come first-served spot (#1-10). Pit toilets. Water faucets all around. All spots have fire pit, table and shade over the table. Small creek nearby you can hear from most sites.
