Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 11, 2024We called on Monday...memorial day and asked if there was an available spot for the following Saturday and Sunday, told them what size rig we had ( length, slides, etc. ) they said no problem. We reserved the spot and showed up about 2 and paid. As we pulled in I noticed that there were slides almost touching so I knew it was going to be tight. He took us to our spot and said there’s no way you’re going to get in there. He was right. The spot was at best 9-10’ wide. I could have squeezed in but there would have been no way to open the slides. At best the sight was 35’ long. I asked what the plan was...ready to go somewhere else...and he decided he would try to get us in a grass area across the road where there were some long term rigs staying. There was at least 3 rigs hooked up to one spigot. I did have an extra long hose so was able to tap in to water. Next to no pressure, but we had water. It took 45’ of cord...which I had...to get to electric. I had 30 amp, the guy next to me had 110. So I had power. There was no place to dump, even though I paid for “full hook ups”. I was able to pull into another spot Monday morning and dump, just an extra hassle. Cell service was good. It is right next to the interstate so there was some road noise...but bare able. The whole point is they should have just said “sorry, we’re full” and we could have avoided a lot of grief for everyone. They did get me in, and I appreciate that, but given an option, I would not stay here again.

Stayed 6/27/18. There seemed to be a lot of long term or seasonal rigs. When we go there we were able to do after hours registration and only planned on staying the night and departing early. It was adequate and reasonably priced for a quick overnight.

Great place to stop for the night with full hookups for $35. This is an area with long term campers. It’s not a resort by far but we were placed right in front with a beautiful view of the water. It’s a charming place. The people we saw were friendly but we didn’t see very many come out of their RVs. This is not $0 as Campendium states. Even boondocking has a fee at this park.

I exaggerate, but it felt that way at the time. We were sick. Trying to get home to Montana from Arizona. Had been driving all day. Tired. Rain starts. Wife sees this place up ahead on Campendium. Sleet starts when we pull in. Its closed. Wife calls the number and the guy says "You bet, stay anywhere you want". I would rate this place an 8.
It is close to the interstate. So very easy access but highway noise. Suitable for bigger rigs. Some pull through. Gravel or asphalt surface. Picnic tables, fire pits, rain shelters. Pit toilets. It sounds like new management this year. He says they will open next week (about April 1). 4-5 bars 4G. Stop in and say thanks from me.

The name has changed to Sunrise Summit at Devil's Creek. Just Google the name, and you'll get a phone number. We were here in early April and they were just getting started. There is a little road noise, but clean sites. We just dry camped for $27, but water and electrical available for $35.

We are staying just one night but the area is beautiful. New owners are really trying to get the place into a good working order. That being said the view of the reservoir is stunning and the sites are nice with a table and wind covering. Well worth the price full hookups.

A hidden gem. Nice lake and a great view. Bit noisy, right off the road, but relaxing.
