Great place! Nice host, clean, large restroom, big grass lawn. Quiet. Full hookups, affordable. Nice stop for travelers.
This is a big, level, gravel parking lot beside the fairgrounds. There are full hookups at each site, as well as a grill and picnic table. The prices range from $15-$23 according to what you need. 30 amp vs. 50 amp., etc. There is no room between sites and no vegetation either. You are basically sitting in a big open parking lot.

We just started out full-timing and found this spot in Madras. The administrator of the park is very considerate. We needed to organize our rig for the first time out and she made it very workable. During our stay they opened up the other side of the fairgrounds for the fire crews that were battling the fires and it was interesting to see the process of bedding down and feeding such a large crew during the fires of the summer of 2020. The sites were close together but you were not in each other spaces. I felt like I had privacy. Good hookups! Are starting off point will be at Jefferson County Fairgrounds this October. Good wi-if.

The RV Park in the fairgrounds is pretty much an open gravel lot with a picnic table (metal) and Park bbq (wood or briquette) spot. The RV park has a slight hill so most sites have a slight angle to them but is totally manageable. I had one corner up on 2 yellow blocks to get RV level.
Verizon was 76/17, AT&T 37/12 (Mbs down/up). Stores are close by but if you need anything more than from a small town, you need to go to Redmond (30min) or Bend (50min).
We originally stayed in Bend for a week but it was so expensive, we moved up here so we could get another week exploring the area. Worked great for that since this park is about 20min north of Smith Rock State Park and we did a great hike in Cove Palisades State Park as well. Loads of raptors in the sky if you like birding as well. We say a lot of hawks, bald eagles and golden eagles around Smith Rock SP and around the farms on the way to Cove Palisades SP.
Overall the site was a great launching pad to explore the area at a reasonable price. The RV Park itself has stable hookups & wifi and the Host is super nice. You can tell she takes care of business as well as she is constantly moving around and keeps the park in good order.
4-star because it's basically a parking lot with hook-ups and has some challenging spots as far as being on a slight hill.

All the other reviews are spot on. Good hookups, great wifi, and cheap. It's basically a gravel parking lot with hookups. Really nice lady manages it, too. Not exactly camping, but a good place to spend the night.

We pulled in at 5:45 PM. I had not been able to reach anybody by phone so I wasn’t sure how the process would work. Pretty clearly marked to get back in here. Lots of sites, clean, tidy, all gravel. The camp host met us, she’s very friendly and helpful. We got settled in. Great Wi-Fi. Got all hooked up, it has everything we need for a night or two stay.
