All of the beachfront campsites get booked up far in advance, so odds are not high you'll snag one. But you can likely get a spot in the rest of the campground. We'd highly recommend any of the sites on the outer perimeter for privacy - most open to sand dunes and have ample space around them.
There's lots walking around here, even out to Goose Neck Island nearby. Sunset out there can be amazing.
The downside to this campground is that there are no hook-ups. Well, that's not the problem - we're solar optimized, we love no hook-ups. The problem is that there are no generator hours.
So here you are, in this lovely spot where you just want to kick back and listen to the waves. But noooooo... someone nearby is always running their generator. There's hardly ever a time (except after quiet hours) in which it is silent. It's a constant hum of generators. And while most use quieter Honda's and Yamaha's, so many just bring cheap & loud contractor units that you can hear from several rows away.
This place would be so much better if they had just a few hours during the day in which generators were allowed - as to encourage folks to pre-think their energy management a bit better, and to have some time in which there was just the sound of the waves.
Tip: The campground is not marked at the park entrance. Just keep on the main road and go past the beach parking.

The campground itself is pleasant and quiet (besides the hum of generators from time to time). We camped in the ocean view loop, not on the sites directly overlooking the ocean but the next row over. Wish they had staggered the sites so that both rows could have a view of the ocean rather than of your opposite neighbor's camper.
Not hookups here but dump station has potable water and there are spigots scattered throughout.
To get to the campground, you have to drive past the Horseneck State Reservation sign on the main road and keep going for a mile or two until you see the campground sign.
We rode our bike into the nearby little town and accessed the nearby beaches.

This campground was majorly upgraded/changed for the 2022 season. Approximately 2/3 of the 100 sites now have electric service. The 1/3 out by the ocean side have no services (water nearby). Generators are NOT allowed anymore. This was our 3rd stay in 2022 (May, June, and October) and each time, excellent. $22 (+$6 for electric) for MA residents. $70 (+$6 for electric) for out of state visitors.
