Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on November 07, 2021We had planned to camp in this area, either at this reservoir, Pinewood or Eagle Camp but unfortunately none of them had Verizon Service.
This is a small park but looked to be well kept. Some sites were directly overlooking the water and all had water views. Electric sites available. Unfortunately, along with no cell service, swimming (pets or people) was not allowed because of the strong currents.
This park is a county park which requires a daily use fee in addition to the camping fee.

We stayed at Flatiron Reservoir for just one night. It was very close to Loveland so we did some shopping and ate at a really nice Asian restaurant. My biggest complaint about Flatiron is the price! YIKES! The cost for the campsite is $40.75 plus a $9 daily pass fee. I did not thoroughly check out this campground I guess because I was surprised that there were vaulted toilets and no showers. Our campsite was gorgeous. It's a back in site and backed right up to the lake. The lake is a little creepy since I guess it is used for electricity or something. The level of the lake fluctuated greatly. We sat our chairs on the little beach and looked at the scenery. Before we drove off we moved the chairs close to the camper. Good thing we did! When we came back the lake had completely covered the area where we had been sitting. Another not so pleasant thing about this campground was a really, really bad smell at the entrance of the campground in the evening. I don't know if that happens every night but we were so glad that we were further back in the campground and couldn't smell it. The staff at the visitor center are great! Very nice.

The prices go down in late fall. It’s a pretty spot. The only thing is there’s some pretty intense powerlines around here which might kill it for you if that’s an issue, but I enjoyed the time here.

We stayed Saturday night at site F18. Our site was pretty level for our small RV, but looking at some of the other ones, they didn’t look like they were. The view out of the window was beautiful. There was also a very nice shaded area with a picnic table. It was a distance from the camper site, but it was closer to the water, which is nice.
The biggest drawbacks to this place was that some of the sites are VERY close together. We were there during the winter, so there were only a few people there, but we could see them all from our site. In addition, the pit toilets were gross… that’s all I’ll say.
There is also very spotty cell signal. We could text, but it’s definitely not consistent.
Pros:
Distance from town
Beautiful view
Nice outdoor space
Cons:
Dirty facilities
Sites close together

Needed a place to stay a couple of nights while visiting friends in Denver before heading into mountains. Location was easy to access. Had electric hookups. Able to fill water tank, but no dump onsite. Camp host super helpful. Our site was right next to dumpsters, but was so large it didn’t matter, no smell at all. Site was pretty, with big shade trees. Lots of birds, saw an eagle, turkey and geese. Much better than staying in an rv park. Easy to get to Longmont and Loveland.
