As of March 2020 the gate is chained shut 7pm-6am. Plus Google Maps tried to take me down a cow path for 2 miles to get there before I rerouted. Save yourself the trouble.

Great off season campground because of bugs and crowds. Site 12 best then 1 then 3. 2 and 11 are small and uneven ground. The rest are ok. Walk to top of hill for cell service.

It's not exactly a destination, and therein lies the charm of the place. "Who would go there?" keeps the punters away. That, the skanky Porta Potties, fierce wind, unrelenting sun and lacking in usable shade, nobody is their right mind would want to camp there.

And that is precisely why I did. I am planning on returning.

There are only 12 sites, so it doesn't get too out of hand. Best for midweek camping, me thinks. Phone reception sucks bigly; go up the hill to get a decent signal.

Very nice State Park employees!
