“serene and quiet camping”
Fairview Park is located at Canton Lake in northwest Oklahoma on the North Canadian River, 11 miles from the town of Canton. Canton Lake plays host to a large number of campers, picnickers, boaters, fishermen, and hunters every year. It is one of the few places that offers these types of recreational opportunities in western Oklahoma. Canton Lake is known for its fishing opportunities, especially walleye fishing. The Canton Lake Walleye Rodeo Fishing Tournament is held each May and draws thousands of visitors to the area. Fairview is a non-electric group camp that is popular for family reunions, Scouting campouts, and for other groups that are looking for an isolated area. In addition to the camp being in a remote location, other attractions include a large picnic shelter, enough room for 4 RV's and several tents, and a lockable gate for which the permit holder has a key.
Located 34 miles south of Heppner, Oregon on State Highway #207. There are 4 tent/RV sites, 1 tent site, and 3 picnic sites. There is no fee, drinking water or garbage services available. Please pack out what you pack in. Excellent mountain biking, hunting and fishing opportunities are in close proximity of Fairview Campground.
