They have nice facility and kept really clean. They're booked up solid and hard to get a spot. They seem to play favorites so if you're staying longer than 1-2 days expect to be bumped around. The maintenance people are awesome the office staff are ok to horrible.

Given it's location, cost, cleanliness I'd give it 4 stars. WiFi sucks, is slow and costs extra.

We absolutely loved our stay here - the proximity to friends and things to do in Long Beach and LA was perfect, yet it felt tucked away even in a large city. We made generous use of the pool and even had friends over for a party poolside. The showers were the cleanest RV park showers we'd ever seen, and we could wash and dry a load of laundry for $1.50 and the clothes were actually dry. We left here well rested and with clean clothes and sheets! I would definitely stay here if you need to be close to LA and want amenities, full hookups, and a clean park - we paid $45 the night prior to arriving at Lou Carillo in Malibu and had no hookups, the "campsite" was a pull off that was too small for our rig, and the ground was covered in litter. $10 more and we had pure luxury. No comparison!

I'm not a fan of RV parks generally, so I have been pleasantly surprised by my stay here. I had to come to LA for last minute business meetings and needed somewhere clean and comfortable with access to the city of LA. This park is weirdly situated amongst office towers, refineries, and cargo ships, but surprisingly, it works! The access in is terrific, good signage to find it, and wide roads in the park for parking rigs. It's secure and safe feeling. Lots of grassy areas, lovely landscaping, great facilities all around. super clean! I have an excellent Verizon signal. Lots of monthlies at this time of year, and even though I arrived with an hours notice, I got a spot for two weeks, albeit with a couple shuffles. 80 spots so small enough to meet other folks who are all friendly. No age restrictions on trailers which is nice. I hate elitism! Signage everywhere saying " no dogs on grass" which everyone seems to ignore. A 15 by 12 dog area that's clean and has shaded areas. The staff is okay. Not particularly interested but not bitchy either, so I can live with that. Next to a great shoreline bike path, that passes by heaps of restaurants and shops. A bit far for walking to however. Groceries, Target, Home Depots within 15 minute drive.

considering i had lived in long beach for the past 3 years and didn’t even know golden shore rv resort existed, i would have to say it is pretty well tucked away out of the city. it borders san pedro and is near long beach aquarium, shoreline village and a lot of other touristy attractions. it is very well maintained and offers clean showers and toilets, a laundry room, a pool and spa, as well as a nicely stocked store at the front entrance. the only negative thing i will say about the store is that i wish they sold beer or liquor, because if you don’t plan ahead you are looking at a few miles to the closest liquor store or vons market. the staff are all friendly and extremely helpful. it seems that a lot of the residents here are long term and really take pride in this rv resort. i had the opportunity to meet some really amazing people and after 9 days here i will say i was pretty bummed to leave. if you are traveling through long beach, i would highly recommend staying here - i know i will definitely be back.

Though we're not fans of RV parks generally, had we known this place was so cool, we'd have planned a longer stay. The sites in the center ring are most definitely the ones to request, because there's a big central lawn where you can set up your chairs (and flamingoes) and enjoy the balmy summer evenings. The place is very clean and well-kept, and office staff are friendly. We were upgraded to a better site when we arrived, without even asking. Sites (mostly packed sand and raked every day) are pretty close together, but not so tight that you feel like you're in your neighbor's kitchen. Front gate security is good for an inner-city site. We didn't use the pool or restrooms, but they look very well-kept.

Road noise abates late at night, and doesn't start up again until mid-morning. Dog area is tiny, but you can just step out the main gate and there's a miles-long bike/ped path that goes along the waterfront, with lots to see (and smell). It's conveniently located to many tourist attractions (Queen Mary, aquarium, etc.) and there are several restaurants within a 15-20-minute walk.

Good cell service with our booster, though it was only 2 bars without.

It's location in the heart of a bustling downtown, yet walking distance from the beach made this Cali RV park pretty special. We also loved its amenities that were really well maintained and the added safety that the gate offered made us want to stay another week. The park is rather small, but we enjoyed lounging at the pool, walking to the marina during sunset, and the combination of city and beach views that this area had. Rosies dog beach was another benefit for our family since most beaches aren't pet-friendly. Golden shore claims to be "pet-friendly" however, dogs are really only allowed in the small dog run. There are MANY signs that say dogs are not allowed on the landscaping all around the park, making it a little different to take your fur babies out to potty. Next time we may request a spot closer to the dog run. But everything else was great - spacious spots, quiet neighbors, fun pool and spa area, clean bathrooms and showers, CHEAP laundry machines!

The location of this park in Long Beach is probably it's best feature - it's incredibly close to downtown, the port, the Catalina Island ferry, and the highway, if you want to head up to LA proper.

The downside of that is that you have highway and port traffic noise pretty much non-stop. There were also regular low fly-overs by what sounded like military helicopters, ships honking their horns, etc. It didn't bother us, but it's definitely something to be aware of if you're a sensitive sleeper.

Otherwise, the park itself is very well manicured: green grass, tall palm trees, clean pool and spa, dog park with seating and shade, and really clean showers. There's a laundry room and the office stocks a small but practical selection of goods for sale.

The sites themselves are dirt pads, pretty close together, but they have managed to put in dividing bushes and enough room for a picnic table at each site. Pretty reasonable, considering it's an urban campground.

The management were bizarrely strict about their extra parking spaces, with very sternly-worded signs posted at each one demanding a permit or else you'd be towed. One of the days we were there, we needed a permit and were granted one for a few hours (!) and were subsequently issued a "ticket" for occupying the parking spot for an extra hour past our permit's allowance. These parking spots averaged maybe 30% occupancy over the two weeks that we were there, so I'm not sure why they are so uptight about them.

We stayed here while attending a conference at the convention center. It's about a 20 minute walk. It's a beautiful park and the road noise wasn't much of an issue. No complaints.

We were looking forward to our one week stay at this 5-star RV site, but we have only had issues since arrival. We don’t expect perfection, but staff has not handled the issues well.

On the first night, we had a complete infestation of ants. The guy working at the front desk was unhelpful (as he was the day before when we checked in). He told us that it’s a common issue in that location, and that there were no other sites open to move to. It took raising the issue with managment for them to find a new site for us. The new site appears better, but has a broken water spigot.

Since our day was shot moving our trailer and running to Home Depot to buy ant spray, I decided to do some laundry. Unfortunately, the washing machine had some oil or grease in it and ruined our trailer custom fitted sheets, factory comforter and kids stuffed animals. The maintenance guy, Mario, was pleasant, but indicated that he didn’t have time to clean the washing machines because he was too busy with not enough help. I went to the front desk to show pictures and the same unhelpful guy suggested that my sheets likely had grease on them before putting them in the washer. I wasn’t going to waste more of my time dealing with him, so I’ll be raising the issue with the manager or owner as it’s likley that the sheets and comforter will need to be replaced (over $500).

For context, we’ve spent the last 5 months on the road and have had our fair share of expected issue, but in every case the staff handled adversity appropriately. Never have we left a negative review. Sorry to burst the 5-star bubble, but eventually the poor staff attitude and lack of maintenance will catchup with this place.

We stayed at Golden Shore for two weeks while visiting my family in SoCal. It's a small RV park, and the spots are a little tight, but the location is great and the place is clean. They have a bunch of amenities that we didn't take advantage of, like the pool (although I saw people in it all the time) laundry, etc. This place is gated and was extremely easy to get to - it has its own clearly marked exit off the freeway.

There's a small-ish dog run that's a little out of the way and no one seemed to be comfortable sharing the space when someone was in it.

Definitely not a quiet RV park, or at least not when we stayed in June - lots of music, bbqs, stuff like that - but it was a nice change of pace for us. Lots of good opportunities to meet your neighbors here.

The only downside other than the tight spaces is the smell - our big rear window looked out on the back bay and the smell was pretty gross when the wind swept through the trailer. I thought I was smelling propane all the time.
