Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on October 23, 2019Fantastic, quiet, dry camping location right next to the water. We walked down to the water and fished off of the rocky edge. It's a simply loop with a dumpster and bathroom building we didn't use. We were the only ones there, but the loop was traffic'd by about 10 other vehicles just going to look around. In the morning, about 5 cars came through and stopped to fish or swim or just visit the spot. Quite a few boats (bass, ski, and pontoon) came through the area and were a bit loud but not too bad. Their wakes definitely affected our fishing and they cruised on by.

This 8200-acre reservoir on the Canadian River is one of the longest lakes in the state - nearly thirteen miles and never more than a mile across. Filled with excellent walleye as well as bass, catfish and crappie for fishing persons, the boating in and out of its many inlets and coves is matched by the quality of hiking, camping, horseback riding on the shore. The lake abounds in ducks, quail, doves and pheasant; deer and antelope roam the surrounding plains and mesas. Whether sailing or waterskiing, trolling or paddling, the cool waters and prairie breezes compensate for 90 degree plus summer temperatures here at 3900 feet above sea level. There are three campgrounds at Ute Lake State Park including Logan, North and Windy Point. Within each of these campgrounds are several loops consisting of a total of 140 campsites.
