Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on March 07, 2023I love the Oxford Ranch Campground. Only 15 minutes from the gates of Enchanted Rock, the water in the showers and bathrooms is hot, there is no music blaring all night, great picnic tables and fire rings, they sell wood for fires at $1 per log, and there is so much space to set up tents, hammocks, and view the stars at night. While it is super crowded at Enchanted Rock- we had our pick of any site on this 160 acre ranch. The owners are awesome too- super laid back- asking only that we keep the grounds clean and be respectful. At $7.50 per person- it is well worth it. Make sure you bring cash since I don't think they take cards. We will definitely be back.
I tented here. It's a converted ranch, so there is a ton of space. The sites aren't marked and you can set up wherever you like, but the prime spots do have picnic tables and fire rings

The hosts are very nice! Full hook up sites were really close together and many appeared to be long term. We chose a site in electric only section which was pretty much unoccupied and only had to do minimal leveling. Don’t think any sites are actually level. Noise from hwy 16 isn’t too bad....wouldn’t want to be here during a Harley rally though! Didn’t check out the restrooms since we used our own. There is a simple dump station and water available. Close to Llano, Fredericksburg and Enchanted Rock.

We boondocked, since we have solar, 10pp, so $20/day. The electric and water was $25 and full was $30/day. The full hookup area had some long-term residents, who looked a bit rough, but were quiet. Not much shade. We got shade from our big oak tree in the afternoon. There was a picnic table and fire ring. There was some down limbs for a fire if you bring a saw. There were two big areas of bluebonnets and other wildflowers. We had our pick of a huge area of pasture, which also had a few ponds. There was cow manure around, but no cows. We got water and could have dumped in an RV site, but did not. The shower house was a concrete and metal building, a bit rough but it worked. Lots of hot water. Fairly convenient to Enchanted Rock. The road off the highway is a bit rough but it gets better the further you go. The dumpster was stuffed our first few days. We couldn't hear the highway much where we were. Great Verizon, no T-Mobile. Great over the air TV.

We stayed 3 nights here with a 27’ pull behind trailer and tow vehicle. We opted for a primitive spot and had our choice of many locations despite it being a weekend. The campground is not a lot to look at as you enter but offers a much better alternative, IMO, to the $70/nt RV parks close to Fredericksburg where you are parked cheek to jowl with constant highway noise. We had solid ATT and VZN service but zero TMO. The road around the campground is a little washed out, go slow and you’ll be fine. We arrived on a Saturday and departed on a Tues and we had the place to ourselves after Sat night. Very casual place - very quiet and no one will bother you. I was never able to reach someone when calling the phone number and knocked on the home/office door twice with no answer. No frills site but as advertised.

Beautiful camp ground, just be aware that is primitive. The owners are amazing and the camp ground is beautiful. They even have bathrooms and a shower.
What a hidden gem! Room for tent camping is plentiful. Pets are welcomed (a huge plus for us). It's $7.50 per person and your pick of campsites. Not many rules here, just be respectful and clean. Bathhouse is simple, but functional. Location is primo with only a short 30 min drive into Fredericksburg and 15 min drive to either Llano or Enchanted Rock. Hosts are super friendly and inviting. Hope you visit here soon and when you do, enjoy a little country life.
