The society was founded in 1962, adopting the name and 17th century spelling of the wife of Cecil Calvert,the second Lord Baltimore.Lady Ann(1615-1649).In 1650 ,the County was named for Lady Baltimore,at the request of her husband,Cecil Calvert.
