Founded in 1749, Washington and Lee is one of the preeminent liberal arts colleges in the country. Learn more at http://www.wlu.edu
Washington and Lee University stands out as a very majestic academy on top of Lexingtons many hills. Very serene and peaceful amongst Lexingtons beauty. Must see Presidents House on far corner where General Lee once presided and where Traveller's stable door always remains open for his nightly return.
The chapel located on the grounds of VMI is beautiful. Lee's crypt is located in the bottom of the chapel, which you can enter around the back bottom floor. If event is happening you can enter around the back of the chapel. It is a place for all civil war buff's to see! Lee's horse Traveller is buried outside of the chapel in the back.
