Beech Lake Family Campground

After calling ahead to check availability at this campground we got a voice mail that said "We appreciate your call, just remember all camp sites are first come first serve. If this is a camping emergency please leave your name and number and we will get back with you as soon as we can." The message did not give any business hours for the office or indicate that there would be a problem with getting a site for the night. We drove 8 miles off the interstate to get to Beech Lake only to find the grounds were CLOSED. We could not see any other RVs or campers any where in sight so I assume they are closed completely. A simply answering machine message that they are closed or that the office closes at whatever time would have saved us a 16 mile detour and a 30 minute delay in getting to the next campgrounds. I will not be recommending this campground no matter how nice it may be.

I will so come back here. The staff where awesome. Checking in and out was a breeze and the campsite I was given on the lake was outstanding. The campground seems to be a little bit of a working progress but that’s fine it was clean and tidy and the other camper are really nice. Great job guys see you all next time.

This is a great camping facility. It accommodates both RV or tent camping and a few small cabins. Both daily or seasonal. Beautiful location. Quiet. Family atmosphered and pet friendly. Yes, office hours are limited but listed on the office door front. Most businesses do that. We camped there last weekend so it is definitely open for business. We enjoyed it and will return. We recommend it.
