“100 acres of year-round color and plants”
The Arboretum - The State Botanical Garden of Kentucky began in 1991 and is continuing to boast 100 acres of year-round color and plants. It is a joint effort between the University of Kentucky and the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government. It houses a number of Horticultural Gardens, such as the Rose Garden, Fragrance Garden, Perennial Garden, Herb Garden, Vegetable Plots, and the Home Fruit and Nut Planting.
Beautiful!!
This is the most beautiful garden in Lexington. It's right next to campus and has almost 2 miles of paved path for your recreation, which makes it a great spot for running. It's also perfect for picnicking, reading, or just soaking up some horticulture.
