Not to bad of a place. Go here after hours, but had called ahead for reservations. They had it really for me at the office. Really pretty place. It’s just off I-40
Easy off and on. That being said, rode noise is bad.
We camped right next to the water. I didn’t give it 5 stars because our site really wasn’t level, and the rode noise, but all in all nice place. It was very clean campground. Free WiFi.

Most of the sites are residents. Joyce was kind over the phone and said come on in, didn’t need to make a reservation. She remembered my voice and gave us her favorite spot next to the boat ramp and water. We only needed water and electricity. All sites seem to have a picnic table and fire pit. The ground was rocky and hard so it was easy to level our camper. The office has a mini store including beer, the locals or residents come in and say hello often. The place looked full but has space. It has two different bathroom locations and a salt water pool. Not far away from the highway which is a big help but can be noisy.

NOISE! Way overpriced for a spot on grass next to stagnant water stream with nothing but picnic table & trash can, not even a fire ring, just a few rocks in small circle. Water/restroom/electric 1/4 mile away. Went there in person for info (had called 6x weekdays with no answer) concerned about freeway being so close, would it be a problem? Woman in office told me "with the trees and the water you won't hear a thing from the freeway" - all night long the noise was loud, constant & every 30 minutes+- a truck would blast his air brakes coming down that hill in the middle of the night. Didn't get a wink even with TWO tylenol pm's. Packed up & left at first light, have been calling to cx rest of stay / get refund- again, no answer or call back. Will dispute with bank.

We only stayed here for one night to break up a long drive.
There is road noise, but the access to the highway was easy and the cellular service was good.
We had full hook-ups and a level concrete pad. We ran the AC all night, so the road noise was not a factor for us. This may be a problem in cooler weather.
Showers and bathrooms are up a steep flight of stairs, so not very accessible for anyone with mobility issues.
Friendly staff, clean campground.

Nicely kept campground. Sites were a little close together but not a problem. We stayed right on the water by the boat ramp. We loved watching the resident Great Blue Heron. Variety of sites available, some full hookups but not all. We had 50 amp and water. Also tent sites available. They have a great laundry room and a well-stocked camp store in the office. They also accept packages and hold them for you in the office. Dump station onsite. Employees were very friendly. Lots of room for the dogs to play in the campground. Pretty easy to maneuver our 40 foot fifth wheel in and out. The only downside is the highway noise, but other than that it is a great little campground.

Thoughts on Soaring Eagle:
1. Loud traffic noise from i40. However, not bad inside camper and I liked the fact we are right off the interstate. (No long curvy roads to navigate)
2. Sites are close together.
Try and book a site like A1, B1 or a site near the lake. The end sites would allow you to look outside and not see another camper.
3. Campground is very clean and the people are quiet. Looks like a few of them are long term, but everything is clean and the campers are nice.
4. There is a camp store and laundry facilities.
I would stay here again. Very close to Knoxville and Gatlinburg.

Friendly Staff. We asked to be Away From The Interstate And Were In Space B 10. Very Quiet Inside Our Sprinter Van. Only Problem Was Cold Temperature Inside The Women’s Shower In The Evening. We Would Stay Here Again.

Very noisy and if your by the lake be prepared for loud interstate traffic all night especially big trucks cause you will literally be next to the interstate. RV sites seemed to be a little run down by the lake. Hard to enjoy our camping experience, wish we would have looked more instead of settling for this place and over priced!
