“Sleep with mother nature!”
This family owned park offers you outstanding RV sites in a park like setting. Trees and grass abound. The office staff is friendly and always willing to help you plan your stay. Our maintenance staff is usually busy outside but have been known to stop by and say hello to the guests.

Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on May 17, 2023"Well hi there!" I'm in a great mood. It's a sunny day in Lee Vining and I'm looking forward to exploring the cute town and national park and forests nearby.
I'm speaking to an older gentleman who's coming out of the RV park's office.
"Is that your dog?" he replies, looking toward my 13 year old son walking our chocolate lab in the road near some tent sites.
"Yeah."
"The dog walk is over there," his reply is rude. My mood changes pretty quickly. "People sleep and walk in that grass."
It was pavement but whatever. I continue into the office.
A similar attitude of dismissal and unmannerly communication ensues. I check in, for the one night only. She charges me $35. I tell her we probably won't need shower tokens. She says they're free, the first four anyway. I say I'll check with my family if they want to shower in the public bathrooms instead of our Airstream. Suddenly the price changes to $39 and she asks for the difference.
Later, my son returns to collect the tokens. "We don't give tokens out to children."
I'm told the rules several times. No ground fires. No carpets on the grass. Like, five times each. I'm pretty annoyed at the entire experience with the staff.
Otherwise, I spent as little time as possible at the typically packed up so they can rack the dollars up park. There are several permanent residents in trailers but the place is very well kept and neat. Cotton from the poplar trees is everywhere, which I rather enjoy.
Did I mention there are no wood fires? Or carpets allowed on the ground?
We filled up a ton of water, and paying for the full hookup spot is cheaper than it would have been to pay $12 at nearby dump stations, and a night of full hookups was nice. Walking to town was nice. The sounds of foreigners as they chose this (or simply weren't able to get into) over Yosemite was nice.
So that's my review title.

We chose this park as there wasn't anything else with electric. We could only get a W/E site, but the park does have some FHU sites. The park is very tight in most areas. We had a pull through site but with our slides out, we went from one side of our space to the other and the site is very unlevel, as are many sites. The front row of FHU sites are on gravel with grass between and are a little better spaced than our area. The best area is the few back-in side on the north side of the park. They have a beautiful mountain view our front and a partial lake view in the back, as well as a small grass area outside the door. You can also use a roof top satellite dish here. These sites are W/E only. While we didn't use the showers, we were offered tokens for five minutes of hot water. You are allowed one token a person each day of your stay. There is no WiFi and no cable. The park is heavily treed so roof top dishes usually don't work in most areas. However, we have a portable dish that we used from the front of our MH. If we were to return to the general area, we would stay in Mammoth Lakes area. The RV Parks are much nicer.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mono Vista. We had only water and electric, the FHU sites were booked the days we were there. We stayed 13 nights. It is in a great location, very clean, friendly staff, laundry on site, great cell service and a beautiful view of Mono Lake. It is walking distance to any of the stores and restaurants in Lee Vining, it's right on the north end of town. The bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities were very clean. The owners are constantly rolling around in their golf carts to pick up the trash from the cans, moving sprinklers around (very nice green, manicured grass) and one time they had to turn off the water for 15 min for a quick fix of an issue, and they notified everyone of their plans and the exact time they would do this. We really appreciated this. We will stay here again, for sure, if we are ever in the area.

We wanted to get away for the 4th of July and Mono Vista had a cancellation so we grabbed it. It's a very pleasant, green, tree shaded park next to town. We got great sunset photos right in the park, walked to dining, shops and museum. Watched fishermen use the fish cleaning station and helped a French family use the dump station for the first time in their rented Class C. We had the canoe on the Samurai so we drove up Tioga Pass to Yosemite four times for boating and hiking. A peaceful spot to enjoy the holiday.

My second stay here and just as delightful as 8 years ago. Would have given it 5 stars, but the showers could use a bit of a facelift. But the vibe at the RV Park is wonderful, the hosts are gracious, and you can't beat the location for checking out cool hiking around Yosemite. Nice laundry facility, good hot showers. My rate was for Water and Electric only.

Price was not bad, but you must have buy tokens to use showers from the office, and office is only open from 8-5. “Dog run” is a trail leading into the brush. Place is clean, some sites are very close together, some not. Tent sites are on a slope, so I would not recommend tent camping. RV sites are fairly level. Note- they only take cash or check.

First time here, and we would definitely stay here again. The park is quiet, clean, well taken care of, and shady and grassy. This is an awesome area to explore, and Mono Vista provides a great centralized jumping off point. Heads up: this place is cash only. Hot tip: make sure to check out Mono Cone right across the street.

After camping off the grid for 2 weeks, it’s the perfect spot to literally recharge and get cleaned up. Has all the basics at an affordable price. Some sites are very close together, but not bad for a few days to get ready to adventure back off the grid!
