All of the highlights of this park are well shared.
We liked our site #103 as it stayed high and dry during the rain and is in the back corner of the loop, not too close and not too far from the bathhouse.
Our price paid includes the senior discount.
We visited this campground from 03/21/19 until 03/28/19.

Great state park with mostly water/electric sites. Three loops in the campground. We were in loop 2 but wished we’d been in loop 3. Bath house was in great shape and laundry facilities were a Bonus! It’s pretty far for visiting Nashville. With travel it’s about 45-60 min drive. There are several speed bumps that weren’t so great just to get to the campground but the roads were in ok shape otherwise.

We stayed here in March of 2019. Nice, basic state park. The bath houses are fairly new with individual rooms. They are nice and new but the water pressure was very weak. The sites in Camping area 1 are set up for big rigs and are mostly pull-through but are very close together. Area 2 is also tight and even more difficult to navigate for large rigs with sites that are also fairly small and close together. Not bad for tent camping, though. Area 3 is the best of both worlds with more space between sites and the pads can handle larger RV’s. Area 2 and 3 have water/30amp as does area 1 but I think 1 has some 50amp as well. We enjoyed playing the disc golf course here.

Water and electric/ pull thu site. Full for Labor Day weekend. Fairly noisy with barking dogs and somewhat noisy campers. Three separate loops - ours seemed more quiet.
Did not use restrooms. Easy off 40, not quite convenient to Nashville- 30 min away??? sites were rather close. Sites appeared to be flat. Enormous swimming pool closed for repair. Huge parking lot at pool. Lots of kids on bicycles and scooters including guys too old to ride noisy gas powered scooter.
The 2 dumps and 1 garbage station were overpowered by number of campers.
Would try here again off season.

Living in Nashville we have many RV parks and State Parks to choose from and we have enjoyed Cedars the most due to the ease of in and out and the level (yes close together) pull through sites. Bath house was nice and warm and the dump stations are well planned out and easily accessible. We enjoyed the hikes and we can tell they are getting ready for some upgrades.

Nice campground for us. Although we stayed here just one night it would be nice for several days.
Lots of pull-through spots so nice not to unhook. It’s also a National Park so my Sr. Pass applied making it a bit cheaper.
Our site had 50Amp hookups as well as water...I’m sure a dump-site is close by.

We stayed at Cedars for our very first camping trip August 7-12, 2020. We took delivery of our 24'4" travel trailer and drove straight to our back in site 62. The road into the park is a little narrow, but not too narrow. There are speed bumps. The check in process was quick, about 10 minutes, and easy. The ranger on duty was very friendly and helpful. Our site was large enough for our small travel trailer, our Ford F-250 and plenty of room to stretch out and move around with our two dogs. Each site has a concrete picnic table, charcoal grill, and large fire pit with a swing over grill. The sites are far enough apart that we did not feel crowded at all. The bathroom was centrally located in the campground and super clean. The shower room was clean and large with a separated dressing area. The shower water pressure was not fabulous, but the water was hot. Our site had 30 amp service and water. No sewer, but the dump station is located on the way out and very easy to get into and out of. There are two dump stations with separate lanes. Our site was gravel lined with (probably) 4"x4" posts. The sites are well marked. We were impressed that we saw ranger patrol multiple times per day-probably close to every three hours. We saw highway patrol come through a couple of times as well. We felt very safe. The park itself is amazing with cedar woods and several hiking trails, picnic pavilions, and nature center. I think my favorite thing about this site was being in nature. So beautiful and peaceful.

The park is a little out of the way, but not too inconvenient. We stayed a total of three nights, Thurs-Sun. The roads looping through the spots were a little narrow so getting into the spots seemed a little challenging for most. These spots are a little small and close together. Most folks could not fit their trailer and vehicle in the same spot. We let one of our neighbors park their car in our spot. The first night the park was pretty empty and quiet. Then came Friday and the weekend warriors. Lots of traffic, lots of noise and ultimately lots of rain. It was pretty muddy in most spots. There was some questionable folks that were set up and the Park Rangers did a great job of getting them to leave. Have you ever seen a tent on top of a car or a refrigerator in the trunk? That was a sight for sure. It just wasn’t our favorite, but I’m sure it’s fine for most. We are more the quiet campground types.

Check in was quick and easy. With our 22 ft I didn't have to bock any where. The site is level. We never unhooked from the truck.

Our particular site felt a bit exposed as it was in a bend in the road, but it was tucked away enough to where we still had privacy. Some sites felt a little close together but lots of trees help to provide buffers between them. Nice shady campground; convenient and clean bathhouses. We enjoyed walking around the park too, through the campground loops and some of the trails. Regular campground “noise” with families and groups fellowshipping and being neighborly, and folks were mindful of quiet hours. Really cool disc golf course adjacent to the campground. Friendly staff. Will likely stay there again.
