“One of the leading RV resorts in the state of Washington!”
The Icicle River RV Resort was founded in 1946 and has emerged as one of the leading RV resorts in the state of Washington. The park is family-owned and operated and has kept its neighborly feel and superb personal service for RVers and RV clubs alike. Icicle River RV Resort is nestled in the Cascade Mountains just 120 miles east of Seattle, Washington. We are located on 50 acres in some of the most beautiful scenery in the West. Surrounded by wineries, orchards, lakes and streams, hiking trails and natural climbing walls, Icicle River RV Resort has become a favorite camping spot for those who appreciate the beautiful outdoors. Leavenworth Golf Course, a beautiful 18-hole regulation course open to the public, is located 2 miles away. The Bavarian village of Leavenworth is 3 miles from our park and offers fabulous shopping, dining, and theme-oriented festivals throughout the year. The Icicle River runs right through the park itself providing a river’s edge beach, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Enjoy an evening campfire while watching for deer, mountain goats, and even an occasional black bear! Among our 100+ RV sites and 8 cabins, we also have laundry facilities, cable TV, a hot tub, sparkling clean bathrooms and showers, 2 party pavilions, and we even provide free internet access through a wireless access point near the office.

Our 43ft 5th wheel has plenty of room, we even put the patio out in the back. Sunk into a little valley in the mountains right by the river and surrounded by trees and nature. Amazing!!! Only wish is that we had more time to spend here.
We stayed at Icicle River RV Park in June 2015. The check-in process was fast and organized, and the guys who escort you to your site and help you get backed in are fabulous!!! The staff was really, really nice.
The park was very clean and well-managed. Not a lot of river access, without feeling like you're creeping on someone's campsite. The wifi only worked near the front office. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and the complimentary 5 minute showers was a really nice perk. There's lots of little trails and stuff near the park and it's a short walk over to the Sleeping Lady Resort where there's a nice little cafe to get lunch/dinner and coffee.
The site itself was VERY small and it felt like we were practically on top of the neighbors just outside our door. I didn't realize at the time we made reservations, but there was no fire ring - so if you want a campfire, make sure you get a site with a fire ring!
Overall, a pleasant stay, but it wasn't really "camping".

The Icicle River RV Park was a great base camp for us while checking out Leavenworth and hitting up a few of the hiking and mounting biking trails in the area.
We were located in site #2 which was near the entrance, hence the lower score for noise.... this wasn't actually bad, but was noticeable. On the plus side however this site also meant we only had neighbours to one side and that was only for one night, giving it a very spacious feel!
The park was full of friendly people, both staff and guests... some who stay for up to 6 months at a time taking in all the goodness the area has to offer.
WIFI was as expected, not great but what we have come to expect from most RV parks.

One of the better RV parks we have stayed at, but it is still an RV Park so be ready to be close to your neighbors. First time we were there we were lucky enough to be near a monthly rental that wasn't there so had some privacy on the one side. The second time we were there we had rotating neighbors most of the trip (5 days).
Hookups are good overall, but don't plan on running at/near your max amps without a converter to the next amps up (we are 15, usually hook up to 30 and we had to borrow a 15 to 50 converter from the office to just run our A/C units during the heat wave - 110F outside).
The river end of May was too high to swim, but there is a little spot that my husband got in a bit (too cold for me!). In July when we were back it was then almost too low to swim. We were able to sit with our chairs semi-submerged. Overall the river is beautiful and relaxing when it's not too busy. The RV park is pretty big and the main access to the water can get pretty crowded in the afternoon after check-in. It wasn't hard to walk down the river a bit in July and find a spot to plop our chairs in the water away from people though.
Most of their camp hosts are great, but one of them is quite grumpy when you approach him with anything. It's nice that they are there during check-in to help guide you into your spot.

As far as I’m concerned we had one of the best sites in the park but all were lovely. Our trailer backed up to the Icicle River and listening to the river flowing by was one the most relaxing sounds ever. Sites are great and since they are all back in there is a very knowledgeable man to help you in and he was great. Our site had a nice grassy area behind us and was so nice to pull up our chairs and watch the river meander by. Really nice laundry and showers. WiFi is kind of unreliable. Town is delightful with tons of restaurants and stores to check out. Safeway is right in town also.

We stayed here for three nights with a last minute reservation. The staff assisted with getting our 23' trailer into a 25' foot space. With our slide out and canopy out we completely filled the site. Our site was so close to the neighboring site that they felt liked shared sites. The campground served the purpose of being a clean and quite place to stay for a few days. I would recommend traveling a few miles further south on Icicle Rd. and staying at one of the Forest Service sites (Recreation.gov).

We have stayed at the KOA which is closer to town but this is nice because it’s off the town and very little cell service.
Also a lot quieter than the KOA.
The campground host works his butt off to make sure the grounds are kept perfect. We will be back for sure!
They claim to have wifi but I was standing next to the “hot spot” and couldn’t get a signal :/

Just a great little campground. We stayed so that we could head up to Steven’s Pass during the week for some spring skiing. Our spot was right along the river and we had a fantastic view. It was quiet and the staff was super welcoming and friendly. We will be back for sure!

Better than the KOA Our site 7 had full afternoon sun in the 100* heat so we went to the mountains and lakes. Sound of the river close by is nice with a couple of places to get in. Didn’t see a hot tub and couldn’t get internet. Staff - very helpful to get you into your site.

This RV park sets the bar for others.
We prefer dispersed or primitive campground camping, but when we need laundry facilities, we opt to stay in an RV park. Icicle River RV Park provided us with everything we needed: laundry, river access, shade, as well as the bonus of the sound of the Icicle River all around.
We did not have reservations, but on a Sunday in July, we were able to secure a nice site in the middle row of the park. We appreciated that the park managers strategically placed campers in sites to maximize space and privacy when possible. We did not have any neighbors both nights of our stay.
The sites that backed up to the river were all reserved ahead of time and were full. We noticed that some were oriented with picnic tables on the left of the parking pad and others with picnic tables to the right. This orientation is nice for motorhomes as they can drive straight into their sites, but it makes for much less privacy with picnic tables right next to one another. Great, though, if you’re in a trailer and traveling with friends in a motorhome.
The facilities were well kept; the flowers throughout were in great shape and beautiful. The grass was lush, and the shade in our site and throughout most of the park was ample.
Laundry was coin operated with two washers and two dryers. There was a jacuzzi—nicely hidden in a gazebo near the front area of the park. Horseshoe pits, a nice sandy beach on the river, super friendly staff, and a relaxing atmosphere definitely exceeded our expectations.
