Our one hundred year old restored Mexican territorial inn is rated one of the top twenty Inns in the country. Its two double-story guest houses are joined by a vast Great Room that must be seen to be fully appreciated. Dark wood floors, an eighteen-foot pressed tin ceiling, an 1855 German piano, and Jacobean-style furniture lend a pleasing Old World ambience to the living room, while the tall arched windows and large paintings (most notably those by Ken Barrick, Kathy Morrow and Dorothy Tuma) grace the room.

This is definitely a hidden gem on a road trip journey! The place is breathtaking, just like the photos. The couple, who owns and operates it, is very friendly. The rooms, and entire establishment are very cozy. I'd intended to leave at the break of dawn for my next stop, but decided to delay when I heard there was breakfast. They serve a home-cooked southwestern breakfast. (Not something you will find at your average stop over on your trip.) Everything was fresh and delicious (as though you were making it in your own kitchen).

If you're stopping in Las Cruces, definitely stay here. It felt like so much luxury for the price. (I was really sad that I'd only planned one day for it on my trip. I would definitely return, and stay a bit longer.)
