Gelatt Lake is located southwest of Laramie, WY 13.7 miles. The area includes Gelatt, Twin Buttes and Lake Hattie Reservoir. All allow overnight parking for 5 days. There is no charge for camping.
At Gelatt I parked at the pull around closer to the entrance. Site was gravel but very level. Paved road to the entrance and then graded dirt into the lake parking areas. There are vault toilets but no other services.
Verizon was on a 1bar LTE signal without a booster. With the WeBoost 4G-X using the Wilson Trucker antenna on my flagpole I had a 4bar signal and speeds of 19.15/10.08 Down/Up. Without 8.11/.30 inside the Airstream.
Very very quiet. Mooing of cows easy to hear about a mile away. Same with any cars on Pahlow Rd. Views are classic Wyoming. Rolling hills in all quadrants and the Sheep Mountain/Medicine Bow National Forest and Snowy Mountain Range to the west.
Drive into Laramie and visit the Wyoming Territorial Museum. They have a dump station there. University of Wyoming has the Geological, Anthropology and American Heritage Museums. Also the Laramie Plains Museum.
To the west there is another museum in Centennial, WY.

Gary's review is perfect and spot on for this camping area. There is one spot right when you pull into the area and then further down the road toward the bathroom there is the parking area, a boat ramp and a bathroom with vault toilets. We parked right on the lake near the bathroom area.
It's great if you need to get a few day's rest and work in. The cell signal was amazing because you can see the blinking tower across the hills.
There is a bit of trash scattered around. A few people came into the area for a bit to fish the lake, but other than that we were alone. It is close to Laramie but we didn't go into town to check things out so we consider this a spot in the middle of nothing.

Several good spots around this lake to post up half-hour outside Laramie, WY. Pit toilets available and boat launch. Good fishing in lake and close to Laramie and Little Laramie rivers as well. The wind certainly can blow here.

People fishing in evening. During the day we were alone. My dog was unleashed most of the time. The outhouse was clean with little smell. The lake clean. I would stay there again.

Stayed overnight at the first site on the left driving in (not by the pit toilet). Arrived on a Saturday evening in July about 7:30 and no one else was there. Bugs as one would expect. Site is level near the picnic table.
Only two other vehicles drove in (both apparently fishermen) during our 14-hour stay. Some minor road noise when the (very) occasional car drives passes by on the paved road nearby.

We had occasional Verizon. It was clean and there was a picnic table. The small lake had a few people fishing, but we usually had the place to ourselves. There was an outhouse that did not smell. It was very windy at times, and when not windy, lots of mosquitos. Easy access, beautiful views. We heard fireworks in the distance but nothing close.

It’s just off the road there are 3-4 camping spots (because I’d say one of them is big enough for 2). When you drive up the sites are next to the street but closer to the water. At the end you can turn around like we did. We pull a 25’ trailer with a pickup - no problems. It was windy till about midnight. This was nice as it kept the bugs off you when outside.
We got there just before dark (like 9:20pm) so we couldn’t see much. The morning view was great. There were a couple guys fishing by the time we left so you know it’s used often by the locals.
There is a bathroom on the one end. We didn’t really look at it so I can’t comment much other than it was there.
Note - we had the end spot closer to the boat launch. We had to level our camper more than we have ever had to. Basically one side was all the way up on our quick level ramps/chocks. It’s not that it was bad but just don’t be surprised. It’s boon docking so it happens.
