Though it was a fairly busy campground it was very clean, quiet and peaceful. They have a new extremely helpful and friendly staff. The campground itself is secluded in the surrounding of trees and two ponds. Beautiful setting with large back in campsites. Only 11 full hookup sites but 89 water and electric sites. Some sites next to the pond are not level but most are.

Great campground really close to the city. Lots for kids to do with a game room, pool, and kayak and boat rentals. Extremely happy we chose this campground.

Originally we booked for 1 night but asked for refund on the second night. Staff, all do the very nice and helpful. Great mini mart. The site we got was advertised as next to lake. It was actually a small pond with algae covering 90%+ of the surface, we were also told it was ok to run gray water onto our site, which further killed the fishing idea. The site we stayed on was next to a playground and a pool so it was noisy. On their website they estate you can rent paddle boards and small boats I have posted some pictures for your review.

The office staff was very friendly. We stayed at a spot next to the river which was pretty. The time we stayed at the beginning of October was cold and rainy. Camp area became very muddy. Summer months likely better. Many of the campers looked to be permanently living there in tents and campers. No noise ordinance, neighbors had loud parties into the early hours of the morning.

I wouldn't say i was concerned for my safety here, but at no other campground had safety even crossed my mind. There was a dustup between kids next to our site that involved a 14 year old using language I didn't learn until much later, and multiple police visits to the campground. I would not leave a camper unlocked here.
The bathrooms were okay. The edge of the pond/lake was covered in either leaves or scum. There's a nice game room! Cheap laundry! A minimart!
Great location to get to the Lansing Lugnuts and Lansing Brewing!
There were a lot of grizzled tattooed white guys just sitting and staring, smoking and drinking. I will not be returning here.

We had a very nice 2 night stay here at Cottonwood. The staff are very friendly, the park is well maintained. We found the park to be very quiet and peaceful. We had a nice site on the pond that felt roomy and loved listening to the birds in the trees. We even got to enjoy watching a big turtle swimming around. We had good power at the hookup, water and electric only. We didn’t really explore too much of the rest of the park, it was too darn hot outside to do much. The pool looked nice but we didn’t use it, it was full of kids. There is a nice playground, laundry and a well stocked mini mart. Yes, there some run down rigs here, but their sites are tidy. We felt safe, relaxed and enjoyed the peaceful setting. The WiFi gets spotty in the evening, but otherwise provided reasonable coverage. Easy access and room to maneuver.

We picked this campground, because we were planning to visit Holly Oaks ORV Park, and Lansing Cottonwood was located right in the middle between the ORV park and our next planned lakeshore destination in Muskegon. We stayed in Lansing Cottonwood Campground for 3 nights. It was easy to reserve. No wonder why. The campground was ok for an overnight stay, but not longer. The sites were way to close to each other. There were a lot of loud campers, wondering kids and noisy games around. We have a video about this campground on our YouTube channel - Summertime RV Rovers - Off-roading on Bronco in Michigan. Holly Oaks ORV Park. We camped at Lansing Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.
