The camping area overlooks Lake Abert, a very large inland saltwater lake. The directions from the other reviewer are spot on. The lake and surroundings are quite scenic. Cars and smaller RVs can drive right down to the water but I parked about 80' off Hwy 395. Very little traffic given the remote location. Any size rig can park here without worrying about bogging down - its pretty much all hard-packed gravel. It's actually quite clean - only a few small pieces of litter. Even with only 2 bars I can get internet!

This is a pull out only off the highway, as there is no motor vehicle access down to the lake. And it is posted as such (see photo). The pull out is hard pack gravel and large enough for at least a half dozen rigs. I found a level spot about 100 ft off the highway. as you can imagine the traffic is light in such a remote area, and when there are no cars going by it's so quiet you can hear a pin drop. The area is very scenic and you can hike for days around the lake. I did have Verizon coverage but opening web pages took some time.

Huge dirt lot that can easily fit multiple rigs of all size. Nice view of the alkaline lake with lots of birds to watch. Pretty windy while we were here but seems it might be a common thing for this area. Traffic on 395 is very light so traffic noise wasn’t an issue. The wind blocked any road noise anyway!

Large pull off area as described before. It had a few big piles of road asphalt/cinders, but plenty of room for several rigs (we were the only ones there). We were able to drive our 34ft MH pulling a Jeep around in circles. We opted for a spot behind the big piles (more hidden from the road and better views) on a circular road since we are only spending one night. Lake is dry for as far as I can see. A bald eagle flew over to say hi.

My lil stay here was great. Very obvious pull off. Drive to the right of the asphalt hill & there’s a slightly overgrown path that leads down to some campable areas. A lil hard for tent campers but definitely doable. Path is dirt & a lil difficult but nothing our Elantra couldn’t handle.
No body else stayed while we were here so nice & peaceful night right off the Highway, would recommend for sure!

We are full-timers and have a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow. We stayed for one night here in late May. Pretty much what everyone else has said - quiet behind the gravel mounds, very little traffic on US 395, especially at night, a really nice place. However, some disgusting f@#$%ng person left a large nasty pile of feces soiled jeans, pee pad, wipes, etc. lying in a heap by one of the gravel mounds. It has now been bagged and removed so others won’t have it detract from their stay.
AT&T coverage was fair, with 3 bars of LTE and speeds up to 3 MB/s.

Arrived late afternoon after a decently long drive. One other camper there behind the hills, so we stayed in the patch off the road. Very quiet night. Beautiful sunset. Spent the day working - perfect Starlink connection. Would highly recommend.

Camped with a class C behind the small hills. 38 deg and windy. We had a trucker pull into the lot which is out of view if you camp behind the hill on the road that goes around from one end of lot to the other. Nice night, perfect “price”. I’d stay here again.
