“beach with tons of hiking and more”
Crystal Cove State Park is one of Orange County’s largest remaining examples of open space and natural seashore. It features 3.2 miles of beach, 2,400 acres of backcountry wilderness and an offshore underwater area. The park also features the federally listed Historic District, an enclave of 46 vintage rustic coastal cottages originally built as a seaside colony in the 1930’s & 40’s and nestled around the mouth of Los Trancos Creek.
One overnight, that'll'do.
We arrived at about 9p (LA traffic is no joke), and the friendly park attendent provided very detailed information to get to the site. There's not a bad site. Our site had electricity and water. The campground is very clean, and quiet on the weeknights. Lots of #vanlife folks, so during the workday - you are going to hear people on their work calls.
Like me... I had great cell service for my Teams meetings, email, and website activity.
There's absolutely no shade. Bring your pop-ups, sunblock, and all the solar charging you've got.
Close to Irvine, town, and all the comforts of the city.
From untouched wilderness landscapes to a 3.2-mile stretch of sandy beach, Crystal Cove State Park is an outdoor lover’s haven. Discover marine life left behind in the tide pools during low tide, or explore the Crystal Cove Historic District of Beach Houses.
We think a visit here is one of the best things to do in Orange County!
This place is really neat and the beach is beautiful. Get there early as parking fills up quick.
