Cost was after 50% Passport America discount and all taxes. Full-amenity campground, probably much nicer in summer? Managers/owners friendly and helpful. Pull-through, full hookup gravel/grass site near bathrooms/showers/laundry. It appears many folks ‘live’ here so several RVs have lots of stuff sitting outside. Kinda noisy early as folks heading out for work. Nearby site had a barking dog most of the day but it was quiet at night. Also some sites had a major dog poop problem, although rules are sufficiently posted. Nearby Hwy 97 traffic noise and trains off and on. Showers are older but seemed clean and plenty of hot water. Laundry has 3 washers and dryers and costs $1.50 each load for both. This location served our needs for this time. (We had some business in LaPine and Bend.) Not sure I’d be happy staying here for a week or more as a vacation. We were able to stream video on our ATT & Verizon plans. Campground has wi-if but it costs extra so we declined.

I almost never write bad reviews, but felt compelled to after our experience here. We stayed here through RPI which is $10 / night + $3 nightly "resort fee". We booked a site for 6 nights but left early for several reasons.

First, the grounds themselves are not great. It's a big, flat, dusty field right next to the highway. Our site was in the middle of the park and even from within my RV I could tell when a car hit the rumble strips on the highway nearby. There are barely any sites with trees and the ones that do have trees were taken by longer term residents. The playground and facilities were either closed or in bad shape. We didn't have a picnic table, which they were nice enough to bring us, but it looks like it was built from wood that came from a burned down house.

The main reason we left early was due to a run in with one of the staff. A guy who said he works here followed my wife after she drove through the campground at slightly faster than the 5mph posted speed. He came up to her car window before she could even get out and started yelling at her repeatedly about how fast she was driving. A simple reminder would have been all it took, but he was angry and wanted to make a scene about it.

There seem to be a lot of other rules and they are enforced strictly. We've stayed at several campground in Oregon and this is the first time we were told we have to keep our sewer hose off the ground. If they see your hose on the ground they will fine you.

On the plus side, cell service was good. It's an easy on/off the highway and about 20-25 minutes to Bend. Only 12 minutes to the Sunriver village center. However these pros did not overcome the negative experience we had, so I cannot recommend this campground to anyone.

After calling all the Bend area rv parks only one returned my call. This one. And Alta, on the phone, was a true, professional delight! Friendly and super helpful she set us up for that night and two more. If we showed up after office hours she told us how to easily get to our site. We arrived before closing and met Alta who spent much time finding us the best site for our needs..private and with a view. She recommended 117 ..the furthest, corner site with no neighbors (a Monday in October) with a huge unoccupied meadow right next to us and no neighbors! Only drawback was road noise and the occasional train. noise. We had been warned by the ever helpful Alta, but we agreed that the views and privacy trumped that! The site was huge (as is the park) . The guy to fill the propane tank was off the clock but happily stayed to help. a really great experience..20 mikes from Bend and close to sightseeing and hiking. For us and our three dogs..no negatives..but if road noise is a problem there are many, many quieter sites.

We needed a spot for 1 night and found it here. The spots were grass but as we didn't take the camper of the truck, that was not an issue.
Showers were hot and clean. Our spot did not have sewer (and we were full lol) but for 1 night that was something we could deal with.

Lets get the bad out of the way. It is right next to Hwy 97 and a train track. It is a little noisy. But other than that it was a great place to camp. We stayed as part of a promotion from a service we joined so our price was below standard. Very friendly staff and nice level sites. Very few tress but grass all around and good spacing between campsites. Bathrooms and showers were spotless as was the laundry room. Nice spa and swimming pool as well as horseshoe pits. The kids play ground had up to date equipment and was well cared for. Clubhouse was clean and had a great large screen tv. Lots of games and books. They pickup your bagged trash from your site and will bring you a fire pit to you campsite if you desire a campfire. And offer concierge propane service if you need. A few long term rigs but not a lot and they are in good condition. Really outstanding service for an RV park that does not cater to the luxury big rig pusher diesel crowd. If you are looking for a quite forest experience you will be disappointed. If you are looking for a safe' clean, well run campground with friendly staff as a base to see the sights in the area (High Desert Museum, Newberry Crater, etc) or fish this is your place. Stayed 10/10/22 to 10/14/22. Would stay again.
