We booked this campground with a Cyber Monday 20% discount for two nights to visit Mammoth Cave. It's only a few minutes from the visitor's center and the park cg was closed in December.
Being the off-season, the campground was mostly empty and we were easily able to pick our own spot at this first come, first serve TT park. The spots are decently sized. There is a pool, mini-golf, big playground, and gym.
We could not get AT&T on our phones except maybe one bar in a random spot. Our Verizon mifi received 2 bars of 4g which was enough for Netflix.
Groceries and other services are 10 minutes away in Cave City.
Note that the office is on the left side of the road where you see the sign pointing right for the campground.

Camp is 10 min from Mammoth Cave national Park, clean, safe, fits any size rig. The Wi-Fi at the pavilion is pretty much nonexistent they do offer Wi-Fi at each site but it’s an additional fee.

Diamond Caverns is one of the nicer Thousand Trails Parks that we have stayed at. Many of the sites were pull through and appeared to be level. We stayed in C4 which *looks* like a pull through, but it would be impossible to pull through without bottoming out your rig. The site has a very steep exit so you have to pull in and back out. The site is very desirable though because it is one of the largest sites in the park being on a corner. We had plenty of room to stretch out and relax! One thing that was really great about this park is that there were many sites available for transients, they weren't all taken up by annual/seasonal occupants. Yes, there were plenty of them but during the week the campground was pretty empty and only filled up on the weekends. It's nice to a see a Thousand Trails park where we actually had a few different sites to choose from that were suitable for our size. Not only were there sites available for us coming in on a weekend, but Patty drove us around to view them. She is an absolute gem for the park! Patty is so friendly and courteous!
The current retail rate according to RVOnTheGo.com is $44, but our stay was included in our Thousand Trails Elite Membership. Amenities include a pool, playground, minigolf, vollyball court, basketball court, game room and something that they are calling a "spa". This "Spa" was like an outdated living room with 2 pieces of exercise equipment and a bathroom with a shower. Not really sure what was going on with that, but it definitely wasn't a spa or a gym by any means.
The park could use some updating to the roads and buildings, but it looks like they are working on it. The grass was meticulously maintained, there wasn't any trash laying around and common areas were very well kept and clean. You really can't beat the location because you're right inside Mammoth Cave National Park. You can walk to Diamond Caverns and you have easy access to the park's trail network from there for biking and hiking.
There was a usable Verizon signal, but having a MIMO antenna make it suitable for video conferencing, VOIP calls and working remote. AT&T was usable with a WeBoost, but not without.

Convenient location to Mammoth Cave NP and other caverns/Corvette Museum/Bowling Green.
One of the better Thousand Trails park I have been to so far. A number of seasonal/annual sites. Front desk was super nice and even delivered packages from the office. Pool is large and nice. They have a kids playground and a mini golf. Nice and quiet park.
You are located right off the NP road. Not sure if "legally" (can fly a drone?) in the park but for all intents and purposes you ARE in the national park. Weekends were mostly all full.
Most of the CG roads are gravel and is pretty hilly. Some lots will have a tough time leveling. Lots of trees so could be a challenge is you have satellite TV. Lots of tent campers on the weekend as you are so close to the NP. mammoth Cave NP was really not on my radar to go to but I will say it is a nice NP. Highly recommended to go.

We've been here a few times and each time it has been great. Its not very large, there aren't a lot of sites, but the staff makes up for any problems with the campground. It also has the best bathrooms we've seen in a Thousand Trails parks. Two showers in each bathroom, all with locking doors. The showers are nice and tall too.
Bathrooms are cleaned and checked three times a day and actually done three times a day. There is an adult only spa that has some exercise equipment, but we mostly used it to watch some tv and have internet access.
Cell coverage though is pretty bad. Even with a cell booster, we barely had any signal. We could usually get a phone call out at least, so that was good, but streaming anything online was pretty difficult.
The sites are pretty small, especially in the center B area and they go in opposite directions so you will have your side door facing the side door of another RV. The A and C sites are better though. I think all of them are full hookups with some being 50amp, though there is one site I know of that doesn't have sewer.
There is a nice pool, they frequently have events going on, I think one day a week there is a potluck and during the summer they do movie nights, a bonfire with marshmallow roasting, and an ice cream social.
The great thing about Diamond Caverns though is the staff. There are rangers that patrol the campground every hour or so, and someone staffed at the checkin desk across the street during normal business hours. They will also deliver any packages to your site, we even had a large 60 pound box arrive and they brought it to us without issue.
The manager is wonderful as well, I've had to deal with her a couple of times, once when a neighbor fell and she had to come out and deal with the situation, and Lana is always professional and respectful and does her job really well. She's very busy with the campground and golf club, but she will still get back to people promptly.

This park is located right across from Diamond Caverns. Diamond Caverns is a must see!! There are other caverns in the area worth the visit. The Thousand Trails Park itself was a little weak. The staff was great and very friendly. Water, electric and sewer all good. WiFi is available for a small fee and really worked great, phones, laptop and Roku. The restrooms and laundry room are very clean and well kept. My only negative is the rv spaces themselves, mostly rough gravel sites, a little outdated.

We had a great experience here. We are thousand trails members. When we arrived they looked at the length of our coach and offered advice as to spots we could pick. Once we selected the area the nice lady at the desk lead us the best way to the spot. Could not be happier about customer service.

Thousand Trails site. Has seen better days. All of the amenities were in poor shape with peeling paint. The staff was friendly and the grass was green. Wild turkeys wandered throughout property. They had regular social events at the community center but we didn't attend any. The proximity to the NP was great though.

We really enjoyed this location. The first time we visited, they had only certain sites we could choose and of course it wasn’t the better ones. Second visit we could choose any site and we loved that! We are full timers and we have 3 businesses we run from the road so LTE cell service is important to us and we choose places that provide WiFi that we pay for at our site. The WiFi here was pretty good as long as your site is right next to a tower. Cell service was like 3G but we have a weboost so we got LTE once we hooked that up. It’s right off I-65 but doesn’t feel like it. There is a dollar general, a gas station and subway within a couple miles. The town of Cave City is one exit up and it has more restaurants and businesses but Glasgow is about 20 mins away and has Walmart and more businesses. The golf course at the campground was $15 for one round of 18 hole golf and included the cart. The course is decent and my husband enjoyed it even though it was freezing cold (January lol). We didn’t get to explore any of the caves or attractions but we loved the giant dinosaurs near the Cave City exit. We will definitely stay here again! Had a lot of trouble getting level but otherwise great!
