“Wigwam Village No. 2”
1937 motel with patented [[novelty architecture]]; each room is a concrete wigwam. Playground, picnic area, A/C, cable TV, pet friendly, listed on Kentucky and National Historical Registers
Let me start by saying I’m not a picky person and have traveled the world! Stayed here towards the end of our month long road trip from Nc to Utah and back. We stayed at the wigwam in Arizona and thought it was cool and nostalgic so we decided to hit this one on the way home. Place could be really nice but needs a lot of work, rooms were not very clean and property was not maintained. Lawn needs serious attention! Owners run the place out of an old house next door instead of the original teepee office up front, the details matter in trying to keep an old place successful. The owner Keith is an odd fella and a little too much up in your business. Felt like I was back in school with a teacher lurking over me.
