“Featuring the world-famous Sunsphere”
With all its lovely landscaping, wide, open spaces and wonderful water features, the new World's Fair Park provides endless possibilities for celebrating life in Knoxville, Tennessee. Miles of lawn, acres of flowers, cascading waterfalls, placid streams, and many more gifts of natural beauty create an inviting environment for festivals, performances, meetings, conferences, or a quiet moment for personal reflection.
I love going to the sunsphere and walking around. I've taken several Engagement Photos here. The scenery is very nice, with the waterfall & waterfront to the old railroad tresses. I've lived here all my life, but I've not yet gone up in the Sunsphere. I hope to do this very soon.
Stunning and beautiful grounds to walk through with water features and a memorial. Sunsphere is free to travel up for a great view. Parking is tricky - either park in the lot that extends from the Knoxville Art Museum or park downtown in one of the parking garages and walk over via the pedestrian bridge. I'd recommend parking downtown in the garage so you can visit the amazing Market Square and graffiti alley too.
This appears to be great on paper however when you get there the parking isn't labeled well and is difficult to locate. The sun sphere looked super cool but we didn't get to go into it due to parking. The town itself was tore up with construction wouldn't make it my pass through town again.
Nice place to take a break and walk around after driving for hours. Felt safe. Free parking. Can't beat.
